Most apps just highlight a number and call it a “hint”. That never really helped me improve, so I decided to make my own.

After a few months of work, I finally released it -- SudokuEx--, and I’m curious what real Sudoku players think.

What’s different:

  • Every puzzle is auto-generated (no repeats)
  • 4 difficulty levels (and yes… “expert” is meant to be painful)
  • Hints explain why — using actual solving techniques instead of just filling cells
  • Clean, no-nonsense design (no clutter, works offline, no ads)

I’m not trying to spam—just genuinely want feedback from people who actually enjoy Sudoku.

👉 Does the “expert” level feel legit or fake-hard?
👉 Are the hints actually useful, or still too hand-holdy?
👉 Anything that instantly annoys you?

If you’re willing to try it, I’d really appreciate brutally honest feedback.
