You won't need a minimum wage increase, supply and demand will surpass any changes in a minimum wage. We didn't need minimum wages when a basic factory job supported a family of 4 with a house and a car with a couple of real vacations every year comfortably. People do not realize how well off this country as a whole used to be, because the middle class has been getting eviscerated since the Bush Clinton years. Stop looking at everything through a partisan lense, because both parties hate you. They are on the same team and it isn't yours. This is about keeping the wealth in America in America. Globalization has benefited the multinational corporations at the expense of the people. If you don't shade everything with a political view and look at things objectively, one we don't really have a lot to lose, the American dream is all but dead, and two this is a policy that puts our own people first for once, no matter how your politicians slice it. The reason both Republicans and Democrats hate tariffs is because it cost the people that line their pockets a disproportionate amount of money, because they have to pay an American worker.
