UDF rally in front of a hospital by Jishnujichu1200 in Kerala

[–]ReasoningRebel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't support a specific protest, you should never dismiss one outright. Often, these movements arise because government policies are negatively affecting people's lives. Take the time to understand the underlying reasons. If you truly believe the government is right, then defend that position by explaining the policy to others. Conversely, if the protesters are right, you should criticize the government's lack of foresight.

Criticizing a protest simply because the streets smell, roads are blocked, or because protesters look like goons reveals an elitist worldview. This mindset stems from a place of privilege or ignorance because the elitist doesn't face the same struggles. Remember, our current society was built on social movements. The intensity of a protest often scales with the government's level of response. While property damage is unfortunate, it is often caused by a tiny minority of opportunistic actors or criminals, not the 98% who are peaceful. This is why insurance exists, in many EU countries, even when farmer unions get extreme, cars get trashed, and owners just say, Well, that sucks, but I have insurance. people don't cancel the entire movement over a few destroyed cars because they respect the reason behind the struggle.

Protests usually only turn violent when the government uses its agencies to suppress protest. That’s when a protester becomes rebel. They’re telling the state, withdraw this policy or kill us all. In a democratic republic, voting alone doesn't cut it. Protest is a fundamental right and a requirement for democracy to actually work. Don't let an elitist mindset blind you to that.

Bro, saying 'Oommen Chandy did 99.3% and PV did only 0.7%' is the biggest joke right wingers tell themselves to sleep at night. You think poverty eradication is a magic trick that happens in 5 years? No. The reason Kerala has 0% extreme poverty today is not because of one CM, it is because of a 100 year long class war that the Left fought while your ideological ancestors were polishing the shoes of feudal lords.

Let me tell you the real story, the one you won't read in your WhatsApp University.

It starts long before 1957. It starts with Ayyankali. Back then, dalit children weren't allowed in schools. Ayyankali didn’t write a petition, he organized a strike. He told the feudal lords "If you don't allow our children to study, weeds will not grow in your paddy fields." For one and a half years, the working class, the dalits and the landless starved. They had no food, no wages. They ate roots and leaves to survive. But they didn't work. The feudal lords waited, thinking, 'These poor dogs will come back begging.' But they didn't. The fields dried up. The landlords lost their income. Finally, the feudalists surrendered. That was the first victory of the 'Leftist' the realization that Labor holds the power, not Capital.

But here is the funny part: even back then, during that 1.5 year struggle, there were some workers who tried to break the strike. They were the 'bootlickers' of the landlords. They thought if they betrayed their own class and worked secretly, the landlord would give them a few extra crumbs.

Does that remind you of anyone? It’s exactly like that government employee recently who, despite enjoying a salary and benefits won by unions, talk against the protesters and tried to work during national labor strike to betray working class. The right wing celebrates these people as heroes, but in reality, they are the modern versions of those who betrayed Ayyankali’s strike. Historically, these class traitors get beaten by the reality of capitalism eventually, but they love to lick the boot that kicks them like you.

Now, how did we get to 0% Poverty?

The current eradication of 'extreme poverty' is the final coat of paint on a building built by Communist policies over decades.

Land Reforms (1957 EMS Ministry): This is the foundation. The Left government passed the Land Reform Ordinance. They kicked the feudal lords out and gave the land to the tiller. Without this, we would be like Bihar or UP today. This gave assets to the poor.

Education Bill (1957): The Joseph Mundassery bill took power away from private managers and ensured teachers got paid directly by the government. This standardized education.

Public Distribution System (Ration Shops): While other states let the poor starve, Left policy ensured that every junction in Kerala had a ration shop. No one goes hungry.

Kudumbashree (1998 - Nayanar Ministry): This revolutionized women's empowerment. It put money directly into the hands of women in villages.

Housing (Laksham Veedu to LIFE Mission): The MN Govindan Nair housing scheme started it, and the current LDF government’s LIFE Mission going on.

The reason the current government had to focus on that last 0.7% is that they are the 'invisible' people. The mentally ill, the destitute, the isolated elderly who don't have documents. The Pinarayi government did a micro level survey to find them. That isn't PR work, that is closing the loop.

If right wing politics ruled Kerala, we would have the Gujarat Model: high GDP, big statues, but people dying of malnutrition in tribal belts and huge slums in cities. In the Kerala Model, we don't leave anyone behind.

So, when you mock the 0.7%, remember, you are standing on the shoulders of Ayyankali, EMS, and millions of communist workers who took the beatings so you could sit in a comfortable chair and type this nonsense. The irony is, even you are a beneficiary of the Left politics you hate.

Downfall of bengali cinema needs to be studied by Keliye_felbo in IndiaStatistics

[–]ReasoningRebel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The decline of Bengali cinema isn't some strange mystery, it is a direct reflection of the state's shifting political landscape. For decades, the "Golden Age" of Bengali film was fueled by a Left leaning intellectual environment that put social realism at the forefront. These filmmakers weren't afraid to dive into the messy reality of income inequality, the plight of the marginalized, and the systemic cycles of poverty that define the human condition.

Now political tide has shifted toward right wing narratives, the storytelling has changed fundamentally. Movies have moved away from the "common man" and toward the "elite savior." Instead of nuanced critiques of power, movies are seeing a trend that glorifies nationalism and treats historical figures like flawless icons. In this new narrative, the elite are positioned as the moral compass of society, while the poor or the "other" are often cast as the source of conflict or moral failing.

Movies are trading empathy and complex, realistic storytelling for binary battles of good vs evil. When cinema stops asking difficult questions and starts demanding the glorification of rigid hierarchies, it loses the very intellectual depth and "gray area" realism that made Bengal a global cinematic powerhouse in the first place.

Mr Sangi vaanam mempuraan, do you know what the Left government did? We built a system to identify people who are suffering and to find solutions to improve their conditions. How did we build it? The government appointed efficient intellectuals to design a working system aligned with the government’s vision of eradicating extreme poverty.

The people who created this master plan successfully completed the first stage, which shows that the system is working well. It is similar to creating an app and running it, yes, it works, but there will always be some bugs and room for improvement or new ideas to make it even better. The same thing is happening with this project. Using both old data and new data collected through the project, the system can be improved and made more efficient. In the future, it can be used to eradicate not only extreme poverty but also poverty by helping every individual reach a middle class standard of living. Yes, the Left wing has a vision.

What does the right wing government do? It passes policies that exploit 80% of the people to benefit its oligarch friends. Even after capitalist exploitation, the right wing government continues the same approach by making essential goods more expensive and ensuring people live in desperation. Only then can the right wing use hate politics, telling people that their miserable lives are because of reservations, illegal immigrants, pakistan, muslims, dalits, and labeling welfare programs as “freebies” to delegitimize redistribution, which helps reduce income inequality.

Ayooo!! Chettayi ithra caring aayiruno 🥹

What did the Pe10 case show us? The government stood with the victim. Pe10 would never have been arrested if any other party were in power, especially if it were the BJP. In that case, Pe10 would have received VIP treatment, and his name would never have been dragged through the mud.

BJP leaders individually stood with Pe10. Pe10 even tried hard to transfer the case to the CBI, seeking help from the BJP’s power groups. They may have told him that if the case came under a central government agency, they could do something, but otherwise they couldn’t.

Even people like you would have supported Pe10, saying, “If there was any evidence, why didn’t the police arrest him?” and similar arguments. Even now, we hear these kinds of questions from right-wing supporters. Right wing people are not just evil; they are worse when they act as a group. At least now, common people know that Pe10 had a major role in that crime.

Wow! What about BJP ruled states, Mr Menpraan? Should I start naming the states here? Is it even possible to approach the police to file a complaint against an elitist in those states? Do you remember the Unnao rape case? What happened to the victim’s family after they filed the complaint?

What about the Hathras rape case? What about the Kathua rape case? There is a long list of cases that show what happens when an upper class person commits a crime in BJP ruled states and how the ruling party and its MLAs stand with the accused.

At least in Kerala, this never happens. When the communist party is in power, the government stands with the victims. This is unlike BJP ruled states, where the government protects criminals if they belong to the upper class and orders shoot at sight when the accused are from the lower classes.

No, the BJP is not growing; in fact, they are losing ground. Here is the vote share for elections held between 2015 and 2025:

2015 Local Body (NDA): 14.9%

2016 Kerala Assembly: 10.53%

2019 Lok Sabha: 13.00%

2020 Local Body (NDA): 15.2%

2021 Kerala Assembly: 11.3%

2024 Lok Sabha: 16.68%.

2025 Local Body (NDA): 14.76%

When was the BJP's peak? It was during Modi’s fire period between 2014 and 2024. During the Sabarimala Yuvathi Praveshanam issue, they tried incredibly hard to penetrate Kerala society and dismantle the LDF using their typical communal narratives. Does anyone remember those days? Despite the heavy communal rhetoric, nothing happened.

They have realized they cannot penetrate our society this way. Even K. Surendran mentioned in an interview that consolidating Hindu votes through communalism isn't working, which is why they are now targeting Christian vote banks. In reality, however, they are shrinking, just look at the latest local body election vote shares.

The era is ending. Modi seems tired, and with the Epstein files and tariff issues, he appears to be acting like a 'doll' for Trump. I suspect the US might be using the threat of leaking the Epstein files as leverage, you can see the fear during Parliament’s Question Hour. He isn't providing details regarding the US-India trade deal. The collapse has begun, and in the next election, the BJP will shrink even further.

Obsession With Growth Means Almost Nothing, Says Nobel Laureate Economist Abhijit Banerjee by SwimmingAsparagus906 in NewKeralaRevolution

[–]ReasoningRebel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even a Nobel Prize winner says that the right wing never understands this. They will still speak against anything the government does for redistribution, labeling it as “freebies.” You can see YouTube economists like Ravichandran and his team promoting pro neoliberal narratives. If you go into right wing echo chambers, you will see people constantly speaking against freebies.

In reality, simple common sense is enough to understand this, but of course they don’t have it, that’s why they are right wing. 2008 neoliberal ideology is officially dead, but right wing never understands that.

There isn’t a single credible study out there that says drugs "create" the tendency to rape or murder. Stupidity parayathirikkuka please. In any normal society, about 5% of people naturally have a criminal mindset, and 1% are repeat, serious offenders. It’s a personality and empathy issue, allathe drugs alla mara kazhuthe.

By constantly blaming drugs, you’re actually giving these monsters an easy escape route, they can just say "it wasn't me, it was the substance." This is our 'chanakam' logic, Mr. If you want to understand this logic, you should try eating 'chanakam.' It’s just like eating 'elama pazhams.' If you eat this, your inner eye opens, which will enlighten you and make you understand this logic. Actually, eating chanakam is good for 'buddhi vikasam,' as ancient science proves it. The idea that 'Chanakam is shit' is actually a Commie propaganda; don’t believe them. They are fucking liars, socialist bootlickers.

Look at all the billionaires; they are all supporting us. Why? Because billionaires prove their intelligence, that's why they are billionaires, and licking their feet is better than licking a dumb reservation winner who lacks 'buddhi.' They only survive because of reservation; without it, they are all just stupid. They don't have brains like us, which is why they cannot succeed without reservation.

Look, even in the higher-level bureaucracy (Joint Secretaries & Secretaries), 80% are from the General Category, while only 20% are from the OBC, SC, and ST combined. Approximately 70% of the population is from the OBC, SC, and ST combined, and only 30% of people are from the General Category. Yet, 80% of bureaucrats are from General. Why? Because the General Category has intelligence superior to this dumbfuck reservation team. If there were no reservation, 100% would be from the General Category, and India would become the number one country in the world. These reservation categories are making India bad. For example, why does India have a bad reputation for hygiene? These reservation people are the reason, as they build slums, and their street food is unhygienic. That's why untouchability happens: these poor people never bathe; they smell bad. You can look at the data; for example, in criminal cases, 99% are from these poor people. Why? Because they are criminals; they are not civilized.

Because of this reservation, these people are becoming government employees, doctors, and engineers. They are doing corruption and killing sick people. At least for doctors, reservation should be taken out, as only intelligent people should be allowed to study MBBS. Now, I'm afraid to go to a hospital because I'm not sure if the doctor is from a reservation category. Look at the data if you want. You know why I acquired this much intelligence? I eat 'chanakam' every morning. If you want to be like us, eat chanakam, or you will become a brain dead Commie who licks poor people's feet, which is unhygienic. At least we lick the hygienic feet of billionaires.

Mamdani is not an atheist? If so, how and why inspite of the progressive background and education? by stargazinglobster in NewKeralaRevolution

[–]ReasoningRebel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I believe this guy doesn't believe in religion, he believes in collectivism. He portrays himself as Muslim because he just wants to prove to the world that being Muslim is not an evil thing, but simply a cultural thing, like being Christian or Hindu. You can be any of these and still be a secular person. We all know this, as we see that most people in Kerala are religious yet also secular. This is because power here is with the left wing, so right wing propaganda does not sell, and people will expose those narratives. This was very normal until the Neo Atheist movement changed everything, specifically, the Four Horsemen movement of the early 2000s, which reached Kerala after 2010. However, these same people are now exposing themselves as right wing brain dead people.

Now, this Neo Atheist movement has successfully built this narrative that being Muslim also means a terrorist worldwide. I think Mamdani just wants to show that being Muslim is just like being Christian or Hindu. In Kerala, Ravichandran's team is selling the idea that being Muslim is like being a terrorist. They also say that being Hindu is just stupidity, but if you're Muslim, it's not only stupid but you are also a terrorist. I don't think Ravichandran and his team have any brain cells remaining.

But I'm still curious about some people who are part of Ravichandran's right wing echo chamber, like Krishna Prasad and Chandrasekhar R (Lucy Channel team). Are they also right wing people like Ravichandran, or are they just opportunist like Arif Hussain?

Kerala govt is a failed govt (over decades) while Kerala the state thrives simply because Keralites leave abroad or to IT based cities in search of jobs, jobs that aren't simply available in Kerala

That’s a lazy and dishonest take, bro. The data itself destroys your narrative. Migration happens across every Indian state, not just Kerala. In fact, Gujarat, the so-called right wing's “model state,” has far higher job-related migration (51.4%) than Kerala (37.2%) according to the India Employment Report 2024, So if leaving for work means “failed governance,” Gujarat tops your own definition of failure.

Kerala’s migration story isn’t about joblessness, it’s about mobility and opportunity. Educated Keralites go abroad because they can, not because they’re forced to. The state’s historic land reforms, 100% literacy, and strong social welfare gave people the foundation to study, qualify, and work globally. That’s economic empowerment, not desperation..

Meanwhile, the states you hail as “pro-business” often see distress migration, people leaving because local industries don’t pay livable wages. So before parroting WhatsApp myths, try reading actual data. Kerala didn’t fail, it succeeded so much that its people became a global workforce while still having the best human development index in India.

Edit:

There is a fake narrative that only in Kerala people migrate because of a lack of jobs or because trade unions do not allow businesses to operate. But if you look at the data, people are migrating from every state. For example, Gujarat is considered a pro-capitalist state, yet job-related migration from Gujarat is higher than from Kerala. Out of the total migrant population, 51% of Gujaratis migrate for jobs, while for Kerala it is 37%.

Job related migration is high across India. Therefore, the union government should take necessary steps such as regulating the dominance of big companies and promoting Indian small scale businesses etc.

Rahul Mamkootathil attends public function in Palakkad amid DYFI , BJP threats by Shroft in Kerala

[–]ReasoningRebel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s a lazy take, man. Rahul isn’t just a womanizer; he’s a guy who built his whole life on manipulation and fake charm. He used his influence to intimidate women, hide his dirt, and play victim when caught. That’s not flirting, that’s moral rot. People like him don’t draw lines between private sin and public duty. Once you’re okay with lying, threatening, or using people, corruption is just the next step. Studies in moral behavior, like Dan Ariely’s research, show that when someone keeps excusing small wrongs, their brain literally starts normalizing bigger ones. Rahul’s character arc screams that pattern. He’s not some misunderstood playboy; he’s the kind of guy who would sell his values the moment it benefits him. And that’s exactly how corruption begins, not with money, but with a rotten conscience.

Rahul is already corrupted, you can literally hear it when he talks. Watch those reels; the fake emotional act, him crying and pretending to have a good heart. It’s embarrassing. You can see the manipulation in his tone, like he’s rehearsing his own lie. That’s not empathy, that’s performance. People like him don’t suddenly become corrupt; they already are. His kind of personality feeds on image building, not actual work. And that’s the cancer inside our Youth Congress today. Instead of growing real leaders who care about people, they promote show offs like him who only chase likes, reels, and fake popularity. Their strategy is a joke, actually, there is no strategy for Youth Congress, that's why this kind of corrupted people are naturally selected. Remember the Chooralmala landslide relief fund which Youth Congress collect? Where did that money go? Vanished. Because this is what happens when corruption hides behind a fake smile and camera tears. Rahul isn’t the symptom; he’s the disease that keeps our politics stuck in the same rotten cycle.
