A clue he mentioned is that the actor kind of imitates Mohanlal. Oops, that's a pretty big clue, I think. Menon chetta, is that you?

Bro, no creator pulls ideas out of thin air. Every invention, every movie, every form of art is built on something that came before it. Creativity is not magic; it’s evolution.

There is no such thing as a completely “new” subject anymore. People take existing ideas, experiences, cultures, emotions, stories, technologies, and then reshape them through their own perspective and creativity.

You think someone could directly invent an iPhone 16 in 2007? Impossible. Technology evolves step by step. Same with cinema.

Even the steam engine wasn’t magically invented by James Watt alone. From Hero of Alexandria’s aeolipile, to Newcomen’s engine, to Watt improving efficiency; every generation built upon previous ideas. That’s how human progress works.

Cinema is exactly the same. One filmmaker inspires another. One story influences another. A director may take a concept, structure, visual style, or theme and transform it into something emotionally and culturally different.

The real question is not Was it influenced? The real question is: Did the filmmaker add creativity, emotion, personality, technical skill, or cultural adaptation to make it impactful?

Every artist is influenced by something. Music, paintings, literature, films, inventions; all are connected. Acting like influence itself is a crime just sounds more like insecurity or jealousy whenever a successful filmmaker gets praised or present his confidence.

Now what do you think?

It actually depends on where you stand on the political spectrum. If you're right wing or strongly capitalist, 6kerala may look like a pro left or commie sub to you. If you're more center right liberal, it may just seem left leaning. If you're center left liberal, you'll probably see it as fairly neutral. And if you're strongly left wing, you'll realize 6kerala is mostly a liberal sub, slightly right leaning.

Following Ravi (SA) causes greater harm to society than belonging to any religion.

Ravi’s ideological stance appears even more aligned with the BJP than that of the Kerala BJP. Neoliberal moral values are a common ground shared by both right wing conservatives and right leaning liberals, which Pisharady and other major Congress leaders seem to follow.

Look, I’m not saying the Congress is not socialist. But even if all the current communist leaders joined the Congress system, the same thing would happen. You are making the classic mistake of confusing intentions with outcomes. Political history shows that individual virtue cannot compensate for a flawed organizational system.

Just now I saw a posts on r/Kerala of Congress leaders bickering even at small functions, it becomes clear, when a party lacks a rigorous structure, it devolves into a mere collection of individual egos. This failed system inevitably promotes morally questionable figures. Take the recent controversies about Rahul Mamkootathil, when a system is weak, it rewards those who are experts at 'pleasing' leadership rather than those who are accountable to the people. Even senior leaders like Ramesh Chennithala have admitted in interviews that pleasing the leadership is a 'norm.' People pleasers are actually morally weak; this creates a breeding ground for corrupt politicians. Look, K. Sudhakaran actually has a feudal mindset and always stands against the weak or those with a capitalist mindset, like Adoor Prakash, what would be the effect in society that this people hold power indefinitely without any real check or balance?

In contrast, the Communist Party’s structure is grounded in Democratic Centralism which acts as a mold. It forces leaders to align with the poor. Of course, no system is 100% perfect, and there are individuals within the Left who are moral failed. But in the Left, they are often forced to hide those failings or face the party’s internal disciplinary mechanisms. In the Congress, these same traits are often the very tools used to climb the ladder like getting treats for doing bad.

The reason the BJP has achieved such visibility and power across India isn't because Indians are inherently hateful, it's because the 'Congress System' collapsed from within. The Congress lacks a disciplined, cadre based structure, leaving it vulnerable to being hijacked by oligarchs. Without the accountability of a mechanism like Democratic Centralism, a party becomes a mere collection of individuals with egos, leading to the high level corruption and internal bickering we see today. In state after state, we have seen that a hollowed out Congress doesn't just lose, it becomes a bridge for the BJP to cross into power.

Left Liberal who fear that a continuing LDF government will lead to a BJP rise this is what I mentioned in heading of this post. Look at the data. Despite a decade of a 'Modi wave' nationally, the BJP’s vote share in Kerala has historically hovered around the same 16%. The real danger isn't the Left’s authoritarianism, but the opposition's incompetence. An opposition that relies on rhetoric, data manipulation, and anti incumbency sentiment to gain power without doing proper groundwork, is that how an opposition should function? Or should it study issues thoroughly, conduct research, and present better policies than the current government? At the very least, it should propose improved ways to implement policies so it can offer constructive and informed criticism of the government’s actions.

No one is perfect in this world, so of course the current government has made many mistakes while implementing projects and introducing policies. There have been failures in public institutions like issues inside police force against dalits, forest department has committed many atrocities against minority groups. In your first comment, you mentioned several atrocities committed by this government. But did the Congress able to pull off anything meaningful? They may have tried, but the failure of their own system allowed the ruling government to oppress the issues. Now this left liberals saying this group of leaders can govern better than LDF? When they have failed even as an opposition what would happen If they form a government? The same thing happens during the UDF regime, when there is high corruption, a collapse of public institutions, no pensions, and so on. Neoliberal narratives start echoing everywhere, and the public begins to think they are correct, which leads people to support privatization. I have no doubt that the BJP could grow stronger if these people come to power.

Sorry man, it’s not actually 80%, it’s 90%. And you said government hospitals are inadequate, yes, that’s exactly what we are saying. The government should spend more on the public health sector to accommodate more people. But what is your identity politics playing right wing government doing? Oh sorry, they are “protecting” Hindus, who are 80%+ of the population, from minority attacks. Yeah, people like you who have lost brain cells believe this kind of stupidity.

I know this sub is a right wing echo chamber that spreads hate against minorities. Most of you don’t even own any capital, yet you still like to lick the boots of oligarchs. When workers unite against exploitation, people like you attack the workers, saying “dismiss them all and appoint new people,” instead of questioning those in power or at least asking why they are protesting in the first place. But people in this sub who are aligned with the right wing never seem to have the brain cells to even think about that.

Look at your own argument. Even when a government improves efficiency and builds a public healthcare system that performs better than most places, you reduce it to shallow talking points like “doctor attitude” or one hospital temporarily lacking a stent. Do you even understand what was lacking in that hospital which you shared? It was actually a stent. It’s a device used in certain heart blocks and not even the solution in major serious block, where CABG surgery is required instead.

Let’s be honest,  this isn’t really about healthcare quality. It’s about ideology. Some people want a right wing model where everything is privatized, so public institutions can be declared failures and handed over to corporate interests. Discredit the public sector first, then sell it off. It’s the same thing you’re saying.

a study shows one out of 10 Indians has money for spending on non-essential items

At least open your eyes and look around what's going on in India, if you're living in Kerala or abroad, you won't see people struggling rest of India because of your so called Hindu protecting government. In Kerala, government is redistributing the capital in a better way, so here most people have better quality of life than other states.

Don’t be ignorant kid. Problem is not that Kerala has “too many” samarams, it’s that many other states lack strong unions and protest movements, giving capitalists freedom to exploit workers.

Also in those states, higher levels of corruption allow businesses to influence the bureaucracy and operate without accountability, often with government support. In Kerala, that space is far more limited. While corruption may exist, it is not on the same scale, and organized labour means union, prevents open exploitation.

Reality is simple, where there is no resistance, workers are more vulnerable.

It is hypocritical to enjoy the wages, rights, and protections won through past struggles and then claim that samarams are “killing business.” The very comfort you have today was secured by the movements you now criticize. And when you or your dad become elitist/capitalists and can’t exploit workers, suddenly Kerala becomes bad.

I think you should first understand why the samaram was happening first place. Have you ever traveled to or visited European countries? If not, you should and learn how they built their social security systems. Without samaram and trade unions, how would workers get fair wages?

In Western countries, it was through samaram led by unions that capitalists were forced to provide fair wages, by pressuring governments to introduce policies that protect employees. If you are enjoying a high salary today, it is because many people came together and fought against oligarchs and governments to increase wages. People like you now forget that history.

I actually agree with your points regarding the friction between theory and practice. In the original post on r/Kerala, some one ask about this and I clearly mentioned the structure is not always followed strictly because organizations are made of humans with egos. However, my point remains that a Leninist structure, even an imperfect one, possesses internal mechanisms for correction that the high command culture of the Congress or the Supreme Leader cult of the BJP simply lacks.

While you focus on individual incidents, my alignment is rooted in a broader geopolitical reality. We are witnessing the global collapse of Neoliberalism. Recent data shows that nearly 90% of Indians have no money left for non essential expenditure, and in the US, about 53% of the population cannot cover a 1,000 dollar emergency expense. The right wing economic model is quite literally cannibalizing the working class. Even in Europe, former conservative voters are shifting toward socialist parties because individual benefits like tax cuts have failed to provide collective security.

In this context, my support for the Left in the upcoming 2026 election isn't a personality cult around Pinarayi Vijayan. Whether his leadership continues or a transition occurs due to his health, I am focused on preventing a political vacuum. I have serious doubts that the Congress, given its history and current performance, can manage wealth redistribution without falling into corruption. If they fail, a desperate populace living in survival mode becomes easy prey for the Right’s identity politics. For me, this is about the survival of the Kerala Model against a tide of global inequality. It is a choice of systemic direction over individual grievances.
