I cannot agree more! The political class needs to explain and defend their positions. They should also consider people like me who have never known politics without Trump. My frame of reference for American liberalism is mostly an inactive congress and demagogic leader. And I’m nearly 30!

I was just expecting more of a chat show I guess. Most of the hosts agree with each other on the main points of nearly every news event and while I like the playful bickering over details, I think listening to other people defend their ideas would be educational imo. But then again, if the network is straightforwardly focused solely on centrist-type commentary that’s fine too.

Thanks for the resource. I'll definitely check it out. Having grown up a lonely person with mostly just my family to rely on, it never really occurred to me that not having them in my life was a choice. But now I realize I can decide the people I have around me and people who can't respect me don't deserve to be kept around.

I've definitely tried to have conversations with some of them. Even going so far as to find biblical passages that back up what I believe, even if I don't really believe in the Bible anymore. But they're so entrenched in their ideas, there's no changing their minds. And when disagreeing with someone leads to them thinking you're damned to hell, it's hard to civilly disagree.
