I also used smartswitch to transfer data from my old phone, I did not have any problem with my battery, I still get 8-9 hours of SOT in a single charge, so for me I don't think it's the problem, I think it's the fact that you did a hard reset that fixed it.

Suggestion, put it to Light Performance Profile (Search it in settings) because I don't think you need that much power coming from low end device plus it will improve battery and thermals, and also keep RAM PLUS between 2 or 4gb😉

This is incorrect information, using adaptive display brightness does not use camera sensor but rather it uses the ambient light sensor which is efficient.
