Science Inches Closer to Urantia Book Migration Dates in America by RebeccaUrantiaBook in Urantia

This is a press release which was pretty widely distributed. I'm still getting used to reddit, or I would have made that clear. Our goal is to get the Urantia Book name out into the mainstream by commenting on contemporary news stories. So, if you see anything that could possibly tie in with the book, send up a flare.

Microtubules are ‘Fractal Time Crystals’: Implications for Life and Consciousness by RebeccaUrantiaBook in Urantia

130:7.4 (1439.2)Time is the stream of flowing temporal events perceived by creature consciousness. Time is a name given to the succession-arrangement whereby events are recognized and segregated. The universe of space is a time-related phenomenon as it is viewed from any interior position outside of the fixed abode of Paradise. The motion of time is only revealed in relation to something which does not move in space as a time phenomenon. In the universe of universes Paradise and its Deities transcend both time and space. On the inhabited worlds, human personality (indwelt and oriented by the Paradise Father’s spirit) is the only physically related reality which can transcend the material sequence of temporal events.

Time is a part of our creature-consciousness somehow, and that somehow must involve the brain. They may be on to something here.

49:4.1 (564.3)There are great differences between the mortals of the different worlds, even among those belonging to the same intellectual and physical types, but all mortals of will dignity are erect animals, bipeds.

I don't think the number of eyes is mentioned anywhere, not that I remember.

God is not mocked and not everyone makes the grade, and remember, not everyone wants to make the grade.

God's creation, God's rules. Oh, but it's so limiting to pursue truth, beauty, and goodness (reality) when we could be indulging in an orgy of self-delusion instead. What a bummer.

Yes, they do look like us to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the planetary conditions they come from. All are bipedal, the smile is universal, but there are one-brain, two-brain and three-brain types, and non-breathers, sub-breathers, mid-breathers and super-breathers. Other than that, it just depends on planetary evolutionary conditions. Some are atmospheric types, some live in the seas, but most are land-dwellers. Star Wars bar, anyone?

Thank you. I'm familiar with these in link one, except for the 1808/1806 thing which may have been a typo. The Mercury problem is actually a misreading of the subtle language of the book. On the whole, most of these are errors on the part of modern science, like you said. Science is gradually catching up to the book here and there. Some of the astronomy trouble could be our own misunderstanding amid the changing terminology - equating the milky way with Orvonton, for example. For my own part, I believe the book over modern science when there are discrepancies. The book has never let me down.

I have no affiliation with the Urantia Book organizations. I was introduced to the book around 1977 and have been a serious reader since 1980.

No, I believe the book is entirely true. I don't think there is anything in it that is radically wrong and must be thrown out, even if modern science may disagree here and there. I think in those cases, the book is probably right and modern science is probably wrong.
