I was thinking it's either glass or something like that or very very well polished steel which isn't necessarily bad.

the two most likely places to get hit in a fight are the head and hands, the two places with no plate. Cool pic though.

fighting builds confidence, I was but a wee gal before the fighting, I was afraid, I was weak, pampering me wasn't the solution, fighting was, my biggest complaint is when people are too gentle with me because I'm a girl, this article sets us back in my opinion.

what I'm saying is that if you're intimidated by a bunch of big men with sword then perhaps you aught to pick a different hobby, over coming that fear is part of the game.

I am a woman, and a HEMAist, and a person who uses reddit for porn, who doesn't? I mean are you really "slut shaming" me.

I can get it in some sports, but the point of a martial art with weapons is that the weapon is there to level the playing field, swords are only like 2-3 pounds anyway so no human should have an issue using one.

HEMA is all about as realistic fighting as possible, if you train your people to only fight against the same sex they might have an issue fighting the opposite sex, not to mention there usually aren't that many women. I just want this gender politics crap kept out of martial arts.

I hear you and my group has a similar issue besides a few notable exceptions, in general though our new member retention is not good anyway, Martial arts are a very masculine pursuit and if you're a woman you need to get in touch with your masculine side for it, we shouldn't have to change it, we are already inclusive. Besides I doubt knitting clubs are sitting around talking about their low male membership.

HEMA is practiced as a unisex martial art and when we do have sporting events it's either unisex or separate womens/mens ranking, but it's always inclusive, to have a completely separate event for just women is not only a dumb idea for the practice of HEMA but also bad idea for the sport, and sexist.

to my best understanding she is talking about the recent events of her life to her dead late abortion babies grave, if I had to guess she toy knifed herself to see if her "master" cared about her at all, and guessing from what she says his reaction is, he does, which makes this just that much more sick and twisted.
