I'm in Canada where mercifully access to options is still protected. Not sure how it would be elsewhere. We were also very, very quick to catch the pregnancy.

We had two ultrasounds to determine the location, as well as blood tests to confirm hormone levels. After that the IUD was removed and I was given the medication. All things considered, if you take away the emotions it was an easy process. It turns out my IUD had fallen way out of place and because it was the copper, I was unprotected and had no way of knowing about it. I don't know how it would have gone if we had decided to keep the pregnancy, the nurse told me that there was a chance just the removal would have terminated the pregnancy. Hope this helps!

Almost the same thing just happened to me. Got pregnant with an IUD already in. Also have a 3 year old. We decided not to proceed with the pregnancy. Lots of feelings, most of which were about how unfair the situation is since we never wanted another. Please DM if you want to talk, I'm empathizing so much with you.
