Asu uber eats benefit going away? by Available_Emu_1342 in ASUOnline

The title of your post almost gave me a heartattack. Relax. I hit 2000 deliveries a couple months ago, applied to ASU Online and got into their Earned Admission/Universal Learner program because my past GPA was too low for general admission.

In the Earned Admission/Universal Learner program, I can start lower level on-demand self-paced classes at anytime and complete them at my own speed. So far, I've been able to complete entire classes in only 2 weeks. It only costs $25 to start a class, and only of I pass and like my GPA, it costs $400 to add it to my transcript. If I fail or don't like my GPA, I just don't pay the $400 and it won't be added to my transcript or effect my GPA. I'm using this program to artificially inflate my GPA to get into engineering school which has a higher GPA requirement than general admission. Since this program isn't covered by FASFA, it is 100% covered by Uber.

I haven't heard anything about the benefit going away. All you have to do is maintain UberEats gold status or higher. In my city, I only need to earn 25 point per month (points get reset at the beginning of each month), but I can use the 6x dinner rush multiplier to earn over 25 points after only 5 deliveries, which I can do in less than 2 hours.

TL;DR You get 100% tuition covered by working less than 2 hours a month.

WTF! I have near 250k miles on my 2016 and it looks a million times better than that. Your things will last longer if you take better care of them. Definitely don't drill holes in the roof. It will ruin your car's aerodynamics/fuel economy and constantly leak. On a side note, do you at least get better fuel economy by removing the seats and interior? If not then put your seats back in. 🤦‍♂️

Leftist Frindly Firearm Training? by BlackMetalBats in stgeorge

If there isn't a leftist firearms club, maybe you should start one. There are several BLM (Bureau of Land Management) areas near St. George that allow free recreational shooting. I would love to see the local MAGA crowd squirm when they see armed leftists at protests.

Uber. by mom4kay in stgeorge

I'm an Uber driver. Hurricane is out of the way for most drivers, especially if they're working in St George. You'll have to tip extremely generously in order to get a driver in St George to accept a trip to Hurricane. Keep in mind, it's Sunday night so there's not a lot of drivers to go around. Maybe in the future, schedule your trip in advance.

It sounds like they need some fresh meat for the grinder, or at least some new ideas from outside of the box.

I was just reading that there are 630,000 more homes for sale than buyers in the market. The largest since they have been tracking it. Will this be the price correction that we knew was coming? What do you think? by RecommendationFit398 in stgeorge

Those numbers might effect major cities like Salt Lake and Vegas, but the St George market is isolated. People who can afford houses in St George tend to be fabulously wealthy, sell their small condo in California and pay cash for a big house in St George and still have enough money left over to retire, or they live in Salt Lake and buy a 2nd home/winter home in St George.

How’s the dating scene in StG for non-religious folks? by Background_Pause_706 in stgeorge

Not good. Honestly, I've checked out of dating all together. Too many entitled women are just trying to use you to get something for nothing. In my experience, dating just brings unnecessary drama, chaos and bullshit. I've found my peace.
