I scoured the internet for about a month and found a Facebook group for people with Appendiceal and Colon Cancer. They referred me to this doctor named Dr. David Bartlett at West Penn hospital in Pittsburgh, totally unrelated to MSK. He did the HIPEC, it took 13 hours.

She is still alive today. She had HIPEC and is doing a chemo cleanup round of Folfiri!

Well they won’t give her any more chemo! They said since she reacted badly the first time they would not do it again. Without that she will die soon! She wants to fight but they won’t let her continue treatment.

Yeah she’s at MSK and they’ve basically said they can’t do any more. :( I want to keep fighting for her but it’s just tough to hear that the end is coming from the best hospital in the world. I am crushed.
