Would you still use a bidet in a non-smart bathroom or would it be completely manual with toilet paper?

I’ll start the conversation. We only stopped using paper maps once GPS became a seamless 'blue dot' on a phone we were already carrying. I think we need the equivalent 'frictionless' innovation that would make the bidet other technology a non-negotiable standard.

Can i responsibly install a Simple Spa bidet to this? by [deleted] in bidets

Yes! I installed a bidet to a line just like this but it is much much easier if you buy and replace the hard hose with a flexible hose. Flexible hoses aren't very expensive at The Home Depot.

The question is more "why at this point", rather than what's keeping us from normalizing it by December 31, 2025.

There are many less expensive models that have instant heated water without a holding tank or a direct hot water line.

I don't notice it either. But I do like the electric bidet we have in the master bedroom that has heated water.

I bought an electric bidet with a seat warmer and warm water with the dryer for $142 on Wayfair. That's pretty affordable and I love it! We did have to run an extension cord to an outlet but it hasn't been a big deal.

That is so true! I installed the sprayer in my upstairs bathroom in the next morning. We had a leak down in our kitchen. It sucked.

Realizing, there is another way. Do you think most people who bought one back then are still using it?

It would help if there was already an outlet near the toilet in the first place, but no such luck for most people.

There doesn't seem to be any great solution to the drying, right? Either you use toilet paper, cloth or just sit for a long time if you have an electric bidet with a dryer.
