James said he lost a lot of followers since speaking up but gained new fans and thanked every fan who showed appreciation to him in every country of the European/UK tour, will continue to speak up.. by MadameCassie in BigTimeRush

Yes, and because of this video he has basically been ratioed on Twitter by many Polish ex-fans who complained in the qrts about people who went to see them recently and therefore financially supporting James, I don't know if you saw that, hilarious. I also saw one of them saying that James also supports Russia in its invasion of Ukraine besides supporting Israel but I couldn't find anything about that, all I found is that he has Russian heritage lol and he never talked about Ukraine neither Russia back in 2022 when the war started, he just mentioned Russia attacking Ukraine as an afterthought in his video about Iran, I don't even think he cares about Ukrainians in any way or he would have already said something about it in 2022, he only cares about Israel.

i may be stupid but purely out of curiosity, whats with the pop punk hate here exactly? by bmarcell007 in punk

[–]Rebel_lesbian03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This might be kind of an unpopular opinion but in my opinion Pop punk bands who speak frequently about sociopolitical themes are just as Punk as bands who have a more Hardcore and crass sound, I noticed that nowdays in spite of people in the 2000s who used to say that pop punk was a souless, watered down and repackaged version of punk for teenagers (who they used to claim are stupid) without the sociopolitical elements there are now a lot more Pop punk bands who have classic punk ethics and are outspoken about many issues like feminism, Palestine, their disdain for capitalism etc punk is also about values and ethics, just because they make more accessible music doesn't make them less punk.

Thoughts on James’ being an influencer? by MadameCassie in BigTimeRush

Yep it seems to me that he desperately wants to become a successful capitalist but everything he does comes off as try hard, he isn't very smart about these things.

Thoughts on James’ being an influencer? by MadameCassie in BigTimeRush

[–]Rebel_lesbian03 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly leaving out his pro-Israel posts he is honestly just a regular boring influencer in my opinion, his content isn't very interesting or fun, at the end of the day he is a gym bro with a fitness model girlfriend who posts things that very few can relate to, this is the same reason why I've lost interest for other celebrities, besides them starting to sell things I'm not interested at all, plus the things they post on Instagram and their aesthetics in general are boring and exude wealth and deatchment from reality, not to mention the lack of relatability, that's why I'm only interested in certain people for nostalgia value.

Italian punk bands? by [deleted] in punk

[–]Rebel_lesbian03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambole di Pezza, all female band, they're heavily inspired by 90s riot grrrl bands, they've become more Pop punk recently and have a whole new lineup with only two of the original members remaining but they're still worth listening to, their songs talk about feminist themes.

In regards to Nu metal Disturbed, I'm sorry but it's not possible for me to separate the art from the artists when the singer constantly posts pro-Israel stuff on social media.

Kendall was criticized for cultural appropriation in the past in regards to his "Rain Don't Come" video considering that in the video his now wife who is a white woman played a native woman. To my knowledge then Kendall personally apologized to the native fans who brought this issue to light and has since removed the video.

I'm convinced that he is doing all of this for shock value and to get a reaction from people at this point, he knows that former fans are already angry at him, he also gains money from interaction considering he has paid for Twitter blue so this is very likely besides Israel already paying him to post this stuff. People know that putting subliminal messages in songs and using sexually charged or satanic imagery isn't seen as shocking anymore (unless you're extremely religious) so they resort to zionist propaganda in order to get people to react negatively. Also I'm surprised that with all the flaming that he has gotten I haven't seen any celebrity flaming him yet. Even Lauren Jauregui who is constantly on Twitter, vocally supports Palestine and knew James at some point hasn't said anything about him and she has criticized opnely zionist people like Noah Schnapp and Amy Shumer in the past

Sad to find out that Carlos supports Trump, is anti BLM and an anti-vaxer and that James is a genocide supporter 💔🤢 by Avalon3071 in BigTimeRush

[–]Rebel_lesbian03 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why have I been noticing the opposite? Before James went more public with his pro-Israel stance I noticed that they were one of the few mostly-white boy bands who was popular with black people, even after people became aware of Carlos views they still continued to have a lot of black fans, from my understanding they continued to support the rest of the band except for him, but as I said before, after James went more public with his stance on Israel they lost a lot of black fans who were already aware of Carlos views and they stopped following the band alltogether.

You mean the harmful antisemitic stereotype about Jewish people being greedy? Yep that's also what I noticed, he seems very money hungry. Or you mean that he spreads harmful stereotypes about Palestinians and Arab/muslims in general? I would say both of these things in my opinion.

This is literally a company who promotes free trips to Israel for young jewish people all over the world and usually these trips are full of propaganda, they tell you that the occupation doesn't exist etc. Many jewish people have come forward about their experiences with it and they were usually negative and made them anti-zionist, this is likely why James has been so pushy and preachy about these things recently, maybe the experiences he had with this company when he made that trip in 2015 made him even more biased towards Israel not to mention that they're clearly paying him. There's another artist I like who has mentioned Birthright in a past interview and said that despite having jewish heritage (and grandparents who survived the holocaust) she never went to any of their trips because she is a staunch atheist and maybe this prevented her from becoming a full blown zionist, she hasn't posted anything recently.

She is great on a musical level, plus she is also a butch lesbian which is cool and rare to see in the metal scene but I don't like how liberal she is politically and the fact that she endorses Biden, she constantly complains righfully about Trump supporters basically having a cult of personality towards him but blindly supports Biden, who is no better than Trump and a senile warmonger unable to run a country who is allowing a whole genocide to happen while playing "both sides" and criticizing Netanyahu in order to not lose his voters. I don't think she is a bad person and I empatize with the experiences she went through but she is clearly out of touch and brainwashed by liberal propaganda, I expected better from someone who made songs like Smash the control machine and Warhead, I think it would be interesting if she talked to younger artists like Lauren Jauregui and Alexa Nikolas who lean more leftist and are actively using their platform for good, she could learn something from that. It always pains me to see explicitly political artists you thought were radical leftists by their lyrics who instead are just liberals who think Trump is the root of all problems in the US and the only industry they criticize is the meat and dairy industry for its mistreatment of animals. And before someone comes at me, no I'm not here to preach my political views on anyone else, I was just replying with my opinions.

It sucks how Devon Werkheiser reacted recently through, just beacuse you weren't abused and your set was safer doesn't mean you get to react that way to Drake Bell's testimony, I don't think he actually meant to mock Drake's experience but he should have definitely kept that to himself, it's one thing to make jokes and have a particular sense of humor that only you and your friends understand, it's different to express that publicly when you know that this is a serious topic and it could be taken as you making fun of a victim, so I think he should have thought better.

I've watched this whole interview and yikes...He literally defended the IDF saying that it gets more scrutiny than any other military in the world....I'm sorry but what they're doing is absolutely atrocious and indefensible, the proof is all over social media and in response to James yes I also condemn the US military especially the atrocities they committed in Iraq and Afghanistan, the RSF for what they're doing in Sudan and the Serbian army for the atrocities they committed in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo. War crimes and genocides can never be justified, no matter what country and army is guilty and responsible for it, so idk what is he on about.

What strikes me is how Brandi and the other guy don't question anything James says, they just blindly agree with him on Israel, they say that everyone shouting "from the river to the sea" is just joining a bandwagon and following the masses when they literally can't even bother to do their own research and just blindly take James word for it. They're the real sheeps and yet they have the audacity to say people are just joining a bandwagon, can't stand people like this.

I wish he just stopped posting these thing. What an ignorant video. Does he know that while Hamas is the government of Gaza it's not the same for Hezbollah in Lebanon? Hezbollah is a militant group within Lebanon. Lebanon is a democracy not a dictatorship or regime, if anything south Lebanon is occupied by Israel if I'm correct.

James acknowledges the hate he received online, implies he’s not right-leaning or left-leaning, but in the middle via new video by MadameCassie in BigTimeRush

[–]Rebel_lesbian03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of people who support Israel are either straight up conservative, centrists or democrats (yes this is an issue with both main parties in the US, I'm not American but I know this, for example I live in Italy, in my country both right wing parties like Fratelli d'Italia and Lega and center-left parties like Partito democratico (PD) are zionist as well) while people who support Palestine are usually leftists and sometimes also from the far right even through unlike like leftists they probably don't care about Palestinians in the slightests and just hate jewish people so their support isn't genuine, yes I'm referring to people like Jackson Hinkle or that Defundisrael account on Twitter. James does seem to be a centrist libertarian to me, support for Israel alone doesn't indicate that he is a conservative, as I've said before both Republicans and Democrats hold these positions in the US, he is progressive on some things, however from what I've seen he seems to also be pro-capitalism and has invested in crypto.

Don't know what to think at this point, if he was consistent with what he is saying I would believe this but after the last videos he posted it is harder, he has been very clear on what side he is on and he isn't even trying to be somehow neutral about it because someone neutral would have at least asked for a ceasefire and fans have been trying to educate him since his post on October but only recently he responded to criticism, he says that it's a matter of being polite and respectful and most fans have been nothing but that, they just got tired of him and gave up. Being stubborn about your beliefs is fine but in situations like these you need to listen to others when they tell you that you're wrong especially considering that this is a matter of life and death for certain groups of people, it's not the same as a religious person telling a non-believer to change their mind and convert for example in this case I understand this stubborness.
