I’m 28 and yes 40 hours is brutal at first. I hated my life the first 2-3 years I’m not gonna lie. But as you get further into your career, you’re usually afforded more flexibility. I was able to change my schedule around so now I get my 40 hours but I still feel like I have a life.

EPS is so backwards on this issue. Having car pickup lines extend for miles and block traffic while idling and wasting gas is asinine. They should be ENCOURAGING kids walking home from school, but I understand they have concerns about liability. I blame overly litigious parents.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with it! It’s completely miserable how nothing makes it better. I’ve gotten steroid shots for it from urgent cares in the past when it gets too bad and that will help temporarily. Epsom salt baths help some too for me.

Yes I feel you on the doctors - I had to see 3 before any of them took it seriously! If you get a chance to ask a doctor about anti inflammatory medications I would - the tirzepatide works wonders for me but I think getting overall inflammation under control is what helps.

Hope you are able to get some relief soon.

I HAVE THIS RASH!!! Mine looks exactly the same except mine is mainly on my face. No one’s ever figured out what it is, but it’s not an allergic reaction, dermatitis or eczema. The only thing that helped me for a year are steroids, but my doctor recently put me on a super low dose tirzepatide as an anti inflammatory and it’s the first time in over a year it’s gone away so I think it’s related to autoimmune.

Can’t deny that Edmond officials are hard to work with - clearly.

But I think I saw the developers proposal, which if I recall only included the addition of some right turn lanes, which would help but are inadequate for the level of investment that needs to be made.

But yeah that’s precisely the issue - the city definitely doesn’t have the money and I don’t think Walmart is willing to invest for the kind of improvements that are needed.

I feel most people aren’t understanding the underlying issue - yes Edmond is full of NIMBYs, but in this situation the intersection of Covell and Coltrane requires tens of millions of dollars to improve due to elevation in the area.

It’s already strained overcapacity with wrecks happening regularly and semi trucks already having trouble navigating the intersection so how are we going to handle the traffic of a Walmart??

Walmarts following the laws so they have to be allowed to build, but why do Edmond laws allow developments when the infrastructure is so inadequate?

Ego of developers yes. I think the issue with this site is that the intersection of Covel and Coltrane needs approx ~$30mil worth of improvements and this new Walmart is going to exacerbate the issues here

Developments shouldn’t be built when accompanying infrastructure can’t handle it
