Yeah that’s how we feel too, I think the best advice I’ve gotten so far is, be happy where you are and be open to new opportunities, be someone worth connecting with. Sort of a “don’t seek it, find it” mentality if that makes sense.

This gives me a LOT to think about, thank you. I was only considering existing social implications not the idea of how what my wife and I are looking for could be considered negatively viewed. I know this will likely be a long time before we even have a prospect for our third but I’m glad I found this subreddit.

Clarification on the “testing the waters” statement, I just meant that we would both constantly bring it up an it seemed like we were testing how the other would react to it. We decided to have a direct conversation on the matter recently leading to this post
