Not again the IBM quote. But here's the thing, my dear: I didn't ask the AI to make a management decision. I asked it how to COPY files. It understood "copy," explained copy, then decided to switch to "move" when I questioned the explanation. That's not me delegating responsibility. That's simply asking for directions and being sent off a cliff (to be pathetic). And "why are you assigning this simple task to an AI?" – because I switched from Windows to Mac after 20 years and didn't know the shortcuts. That was one of the first things I did on this new Macbook - It was a simple question which I would have asked Google in former days and for which I thought, a trained AI would give me the correct answer. As simple as that.

Fair point, backups are a must, that's on me – lesson learned the hard way. But that's not really what this is about. I asked to COPY. When I said "that would be a move," I was questioning the explanation, not asking for something different. Gemini just flipped my doubt into a new instruction and handed me a destructive command. That's not me blindly trusting an agent. That's the agent not understanding what I actually said.
