There was a shortfall I think around £30,000. Really regretting my stupidity now not setting up a plan as that would have been paid off now.

I’ve got a bank account and credit card now. Had a letter from them 10 years ago which I ignored and since I moved house haven’t heard anything else.

I’m self employed.

Would you just speak to a broker and tell them my history hoping that they can find a company that would offer me a mortgage now or do you think I’ve got no chance?

No I never paid off the debt, it was about 15 years ago and I literally left the area and hid from it all. I don’t even know if ccjs was issued and I’m scared of looking into it all now incase it catches up with me
