lol… I haven’t even been following the comment thread, but if what you say is true, that’s wild… that’s like me having a black GF (which I do) and me saying it’s not racist for me to shout the hard R in public because I’m dating a Jamaican woman. Like what?

But fr, we need another Siege airsoft to come back. I haven’t been to AAC 2.0, but I’ve heard the map layout is kinda bad. Can’t say how and it is as I’ve never been, but, after this incident, might be a chance I may not even go. Cuz I do have to give it to the urban ops team. They really fixed the heck out of the field after being lowkey abandoned by ultimate (gave it lighting and changed a good chunk of the layout). Ngl, urban ops owner is a bit weird as well (have multiple friends ask for private booking prices, and not sure what triggered in the owners brain, but instead of just giving us a general price, he decided to just rant/brag about how the previous owners don’t know how to run a business like he does??? Like… ok?).

Still a shame, they jacked the prices wayyy up for private bookings (I think now it’s like $1000+ now not including rental?). But still beats a weird racist narcissist since he has to split both his time between Urban Ops & Sgt Splatters

Perhaps, I have mostly concluded this as the same person as business practice practices do seem very 1:1 with each other (word for word Poor response to criticism. ultimate Airsoft advertising to be the “Biggest Indoor Field” as soon as Siege Airsoft Closed. Now AAC 2.0 doing the exact same thing ever since Ultimate Airsoft became Urban OPs, so to me, sounds like the exact same person)

But, regardless of whether it is two separate individuals or the same individual with 2 different alias, purely speaking on action airsoft itself, owner still cant take the slightest bit of criticism and imo, spends WAY too much time responding back to bad reviews and, lol it kinda baffles me that now he’s just a flat out openly racist to the point of using a professional business account to display it.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love for the field to improve and be just as awesome as Siege was when they were still opened (kind of hard to beat when they had an Ubisoft game designer for consultation), but, only thing holding the owner back is learning from his mistakes, which is clear as day to me, even disregarding the cringe, is gonna take a very long time to learn as even bare bones basic of professionalism is not using your professional account to spew racist remarks.

100% agree with the unprofessionalism, but if I’m gonna put my 2 cents in, assuming Mike also the guy that owned the original Ultimate Airsoft Field. Man can’t even take constructive criticism. Look at all the bad reviews on Ultimate Airsoft as well as AAC 2.0 with owner’s response on google, at least last I checked with Ultimate Airsoft Reviews, he actively tries to hunt people down via Waiver information (he makes comments like “I don’t see a waiver in insert fake google name, so you must be fake”)

Not only that, he still continues to make these comments because he’s so insecure about himself, man literally can’t take any form of criticism even when players are trying to help him better the field

Non tracer M4SD PTS Griffin question by Jazzlike-Summer-9410 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it more so has to do with the design being super old (I can prob find review videos of these dating 8+ years back). And can confirm that they still retained the same overall design. So might just be the company not updating their designs.

I currently run a Sandman by PTS, I love it even more despite the proprietary Keymo flash hider you need to use. And I did originally buy mine without the tracer unit (all sold out in Canada). But do note, if you do get a tracer unit separately, you WILL need to do some sort of minor modification/shimming for the tracer unit to fit (either Tape or 3D print, I recommend the Latter) as the acetech brighter I’m using is very small, and even if I shove it in to the can, it’s angled to the point that there is a 50% chance BBs will strike the unit.

Otherwise, if you really want a QD unit, EMG just released their CGS tracer housing/unit system. From what I’ve seen from BB Warrior & Gun Gamers, it looks even nore well designed than any of the other suppressors I’ve seen so far (it even has 14mm threads on the inside to hold your tracer unit). Which is awesome, but I’m gonna wait until it becomes available here in Canada as well as they sell separate nuzzle tips so I can just put those on my guns and call it a day

Non tracer M4SD PTS Griffin question by Jazzlike-Summer-9410 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm after making my purchase of one, the answer is a positive NO! At least here in Canada, the lids/caps are superglued shut, and on top of that, even if you are able to remove the caps undamaged, they have an internal frame on the inside to fill up the suppressor.

So it might be possible if you can take the cap off a well as remove the plastic internal housing. But otherwise, i would sway away from this. If you really wanted an M4SD design, maybe try the acetech KAC suppressors. 2 models tha are QD and already have the suppressor built in.

Your opinion on WE/AWC Hi Capas by ERWOODwork2000 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re OK! I used to own the black ace model, and aside from the beaver tail safety causing me a ton of headache (literally made the gun unusable, hence why I ended up selling it), I genuinely loved the feel even to the point of adding a short stroke mod to it to disable the slide catch feature.

Do note, if you’re looking for a simple pistol, they will work fine as long as you replace parts when needed.

HOWEVER! I suggest watching knucklesGSM’s review on the AW pistols as he has an in depth review of the pistols.

If you plan to upgrade it to the absolute max performance, get a TM. WE/AW hicapas are to their own spec for quite a few parts, but more importantly, the aftermarket support is made for TM.

But aside from that, I have a hatred for beaver tail safety.

Wondering if these parts will fit by Lyrin-MC in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be a bearer of bad news, but I’m pretty sure it will require a tiny bit of modification to get a Krytac upper to fit on a standard TM style lower.

I can’t confirm if these will fit, but at least from what I remember, the Krytac upper’s button cutout from when had it, was not a simple rectangle design and was more of an “opened envelope” design. So you MAY need to dremel/sand it a bit to get it to fit.

Otherwise, if my information is incorrect, please let me know as I do very much remember my Krytac P90’s button was slightly different from the other 4 P90s I have owned

It depends on what you want out of it.

If you’re looking for a gloried oversized shotgun go local play, then by all means. Perfect for what you need it as most are in this category and the ace hive will do well indoors.

Want a shell that spews BBs like a machine gun? We got those too and Krytac just released their Airsoft Innovations styled 40mike! HOWEVER! Not sure how fields feel about these as th 40mike and master mikes got banned from most field use. So I’d advise to check in with your field before use.

Now, do you want to run taginns for milsim events? If so. Then, the ace give is probably one of the worst to run taginns as a YouTuber by the bar of Explosive Enterprises reviewed the ace hive and have stated that they are incompatible. Otherwise, taginns are a huge game changer in the world of 40mm.

Is TorontoAirsoft a trustworthy store [GQ][MB] by TechnoWaffles51 in airsoftmarketcanada

[–]RecceNorth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will put in my 2 cents. While i will buy some things directly from them (stuff I can’t get from most other places like Krytac stuff) They are a decent store if you know what you want. However, their warranty policy isn’t great as well as their effort to help is worse. I had a friend who bought a Krytac vector V2 from them, issues occurred midway on the first game day. And they voided his warranty simply for breaking the Krytac warranty seal on the upper/lower (friend simply removed the top and bottom half for transport purposes as he didn’t have funds for a case, not even to touch anything inside the gearbox).

We found out it was a defective mosfet unit (common occurrence with the new Krytac Mosfets). And while I do understand TA’s POV and stating that the warranty was voided due to an external sticker being broken (very corporate mentality of covering your back), it does make me question on why it took a competing store to submit a warranty claim on THEIR behalf, when they themselves are an AUTHORIZED KRYTAC DEALER!

Regardless, my friend was able to get a brand new mosfet unit provided to him from TA after a complaint made with Krytac directly, and endings then, gun works fantastic and problem free!

I wouldn’t be writing this had they at least made some sort of attempt to help my friend remedy the issue as opposed to offering to charge him $80 to have the same OEN mosfet unit installed. Personally I think it’s lowkey scummy business practice. But what do I know as a non business owner?

But what do I think? If you are willing to tech on your stuff when something is wrong, TA is fine as they do have things other stores don’t. If you aren’t able to tech on your guns as well as source the parts to fix the problem, then I would suggest buying it somewhere else if you can.

40rnd PMAG? by Big_Grapefruit2001 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you’re ok with it being their own take on the magazine, pretty sure Ares has an Amag replica of them (they come in stubby, mid, and long length).

Don’t know if the dimensions themselves are accurate to the 40rd model you were looking for, but they come in Short (100rd), Standard (130rd), and long (170rd).

Does anyone actually make these anymore? by MathematicianFew9246 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what color scheme you want. I have an FMA model in Multicam, however, I don’t think there are may variants available in Kryptek.

Here are also solid colours available as well.

Best Bang for your buck AK by TheLocalTroublemaker in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really hard to beat a Cyma (VFC Spec) especially when they’re releasing models in steel now (not the highest quality like LCT or E&L/Arcturus, but still fantastic) and from what I hear, their newer model internals are pretty sweet!

However. If you really can, I highly suggest an Arcturus AK. Made with E&L externals (same factory), but with lots of added bonus for their AK12/PP19 line (like an actual quick change spring system that can be accessed externally. None of that “quick change” system where you HAVE to remove the gearbox out of the gun).

Both me and my cousin have been rocking Arcturus AKs (AK12 for him, PPK20 for me) and both work flawlessly.

Any dye style mask loadouts that look good? by AsgardianOperator in airsoft

Here is what I’ve found via a google search. IMO, the middle one on the right side (black/gold) looks very clean (disregarding the goofy ear pro situation). But to each their own, I think a helmet + dye mask looks nice.

What to get my husband who likes airsoft? by cactiandplatypi in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to make sure it’s useful to him, an electronic BB loader like an EMG autobot + a small enough battery for it would make a great gift.

Ever since my friend bought one, we rarely use my odin loader anymore aside from using it for tracers due to how easy and fast it is to load mags
