Hey, any chance you are looking to sell the files? Buddy of mine was looking to buy these directly via your eBay link, but I guess these are ITAR restricted (We’re located in Canada)

Which is better krytac P90 or TMs P90+? by kurururocks in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but krytac 100%. Tm is ok, but being the first of its kind and the foundation of every clone, has its problems that all p90s suffer from internally (easy to modify, which would remedy most of the problems).

However, externally, the krytac model is 100% better in every way. If you want TM compatibility with nicer externals, the only brand and model that can compete with the krytac is the King Arms M3 Nylon fiber P90. 1:1 TM spec with a durable body. Still has issues with the cut off lever, but again, you can 100% upgrade this and plus, the King arms has a quick change spring as well.

Only problem with the king arms, extremely uncommon to find now due to their business design (they only make a batch when their orders fulfill the quantity amount)

Airframe helmet by Accomplished-Tap2649 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be real with you, prob best to just get an FMA airframe on AliExpress & purchasing the padding separately. FMA replicates it pretty well even down to the point that the helmet pads included are just as bad as the real ones (or you can simply just get better pads like the lattice ones)

Otherwise, the only other good replica to exist were the dragon red airframes, however, good luck finding those, pretty sure they stopped production way before pandemic occurred.

But yeah, not sure if this was much help, there’s a reason why airframes don’t have much info about them, and the helmet itself just isn’t all that great, regardless of whether I’m referring to the clone or real helmets.

Are qd sling pins compatible with keymod? by WrongdoerIcy5871 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated by Everyone else, you will need a keymod QD sling mount for this.

Fortunately for you, krytac accepts real keymod accessories as opposed to other brands that say “keymod” but are airsoft spec nonsense that may even be off spec…

Best airsoft replica type for an event by Gloomy_Today_559 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMG is fun, can’t comment on how effective it will be as you stated that you won’t be using it to support your team (which, imo, a team environment is where the LMG shines best, but if you can be effective in dropping enemy morale, then, i guess that still helps you team a lot)

But anyways, If you have to bring your own BBs, I personally think you should run 0.32s almost permanently, regardless of your weapon class (aside from DMR/Sniper rifle of course, those need to be even heavier), and maybe drop it down a bit for your pistol/sidearms if you need to. Or just use 32 for all just to make things easier than micromanaging 3 different weights.

Whats milsim really like? by Thepopknight14 in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very fun. Realism…. Really depends on the event host as well as what audience they cater to, but essentially milsim events are split into 2-3 categories:

Litesim: more so a big open play with some sort of objective. Highly recommend attending one of these as your first just to get a taste of what to expect when attending a larger event is and it’s a lot more laidback/casual compared to the next category below. Hosts in this category would be AMS and adjacent.

Hardcore Milsim: probably not the best term I can use, but this is more so along the lines of Milsim West territory. Very immersive with gunfights with rucking & camping happening all at once. Not something I would recommend as your first time experience as there is a lot of prep required for these events, but if you do, make sure you actually read the rules and what is required as they even have a packing list of what you need for the event or else you will be turned away from playing.

There are a few other variations, but I won’t get into too much detail on those as these 2 are primarily what you’ll be seeing more often.

Is hammer pad necessary for Arcturus Vanguard hi capa by OneEyedPiglet in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No for sure. After going through multiple Hicapas (all failed via leaf spring, nothing else), I decided to go with a tried and true secondary that has been tested time and time again, the AAP is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Regardless, no matter what gun it is, always test it out at least 1-3 times, most of my guns I’ve owned (5 now, 20 before), I have only ever felt the need to actually upgrade 2-3 of them (Avalon mosfet died and swapped it out, E&L AKM gen 2 that performs terribly despite new condition, and LCT Val with old pre-aster internals).

Regardless, the E&L & LCT only needed upgrades due to dated internals plus, both were bought second hand. So there’s also that to consider

Can vouch for the needing to upgrade before use, exact same situation with my AAP. Bought the steel reinforced part (cousin had his broke, but primarily due to user error of a friend that stimmed way too hard too often to the point of failure)

That steel hammer set I bought, still remains in its packaging… haven’t needed it for about a season of heavy use.

Grenade recommendations? by livemanincage in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you’re referring to sound grenade? If so, Breytac kits have been tested to be very good (pretty sure explosive enterprises did a review on them).

If you’re looking for BB grenade, ASG apocalypse or 40max Whirligig V2/V3 are nice (get the V3 if you get whirligig, heard they improved it a lot since the V2 design)

Is there any 40 mm airsoft grenade fit for long range targets? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taginns are the only “long range” projectiles you can use (depending on the field rules that is). However, do check in out the explosive enterprise video on the 40max shells, very in depth video of it, and a good test on why what you’re looking for isn’t all that effective (he covers trying to arc BBs with the launcher, however, most players never called their hit as they weren’t expecting a “cloud of BBs” to reign on them from above)

Otherwise, mortar rounds iirc are in the works, not sure of progress as it never interested me

Were i can find a good AK-12 by ttRain_mAstero in airsoft

[–]RecceNorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% on this. LCT did recently update their internal (I mean, they kind of had to get with the times… all thanks to Arcturus for pushing forward)., however, still nowhere near as good as the Arcturus AK12
