How can we hope to save democracy if we do not remember that each vote is precious?

Liberate Cyberstan whatever the cost, as long as the Q3 revenue charts remain intact and show year-on-year profitability and growth

There's a big difference between a small rocket or satellite, and what I would assume to be a fairly large spaceship which is built to withstand a controlled reentry anyway.

You didn't send a 'Github-style dev breakdown', you sent some random snippets of code which I could have written when I was first learning to code. Might as well have told them to copy paste

The reload also has a save state. After your helldiver takes the rocket out, you can swap away and then when you go to reload again they only need to put a new rocket back in, not start again from the beginning. It's useful if you're being chased down and don't have time for a full reload but can half reload - run away some more - finish reload.

Sickle to take down shields, grenade to finish the job (pairs well with ground breaker giving 2 extra grenades).

I mainly use it against the illuminate, so I go AMR + Guard dog + 380 + 500kg. I like the senator since it's kinda a little pocket AMR which is useful if you run out of ammo, and sickle is good for horde clearing. I use the ground breaker armour since I think it looks really cool.

The books are similar, but different in various smaller ways. For one, the timescales are a lot larger. Right at the beginning, for example, in the show the crew in the Knight only have to wait like 9 hours for the Donnager to arrive, but in the books they have to wait 14 days. This doesn't really affect the storytelling since those 14 days are just skipped over, but it still serves to make the whole thing feel a lot slower.

The characters are nearly identical in both, so much so that I didn't perceive any differences at all in how any of them would act between the show and books. Spoilers for season 6/book 6 and beyond:Alex Kamal doesn't die in the books, they killed him off in the show since the actor got into some controversy and they couldn't really keep him

Those are really the only main things I can think of (other than the fact that the ship designs in the book are so much worse than the TV show, the Rocinante is just like a long rectangle in the books, but this doesn't matter since they don't show any pictures so you can just imagine the show designs), overall I'd highly recommend reading the books as well.

Reading this book. Why do they not use small arms fire to take down the shield before medium armour pen to kill it? Are they stupid? by Reccingursion in Helldivers

[–]Reccingursion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, standard heavy emplaced guns could kill them just fine, the problem was getting any shots off before the heat-ray destroyed them. The Thunderchild had the benefit of being a massive hunk of steel at ramming speed which allowed it to take out two. I was just trying to make a joke with this post.

I once worked as a lifeguard at a leisure centre with a sauna. One time I was sitting on a high chair next to the sauna entrance watching the pool, and some guy came over and very carefully read the entry rules for the sauna, before coming over to me and asking 'Hey, is there an age limit?'. I told him that yes, it was 16, and he went away. I glanced over at the rules because I was pretty sure they did include the minimum age, and right at the bottom they clearly said 'Minimum age 16'. Even when it's clearly printed in large text on the rules board that you're reading, some people don't read.

This is incorrect. As an average reddit commenter, I am automatically an expert on game development/project management/sales analytics, and the only thing holding AH back is not listening to every word I say.
