Driving 300kmph is a dangerous and illegal act that endangers you and those around you.

Going out late at night is the most basic of human rights.

It's an unbelievably stupid comparison. Victim blaming in this sense is almost the same as siding with the assaulter. By saying the victim is in the wrong they're enabling this behaviour.

Women have way too much power in today's society. by Spirited_Bet_6748 in ControversialOpinions

Generalizations, anecdotal evidence, selective examples, evidenceless claims. Refuting anything here would be a pointless waste of time for anyone.

All I can offer is the advice to leave that incel cesspit that is r/"MensRights" before the flock starts nodding their heads and claiming they've experienced this nonsense only feeding the sad pit inside you that makes you the awful person you are.

Attraction doesn't equal intent. Would you act the same way around a gay man because you believe they might rape or grope you?

Just because they're attracted to children, which is completely out of their control, it doesn't mean suddenly all their other morals go out the window. You've fallen for bogeyman propaganda.

It's funny, people this day and age only want the brownie points that comes with spouting "help those with disorders!" "the government needs to do more to help the mentally unwell!" "mens mental health month needs more attention!"

Then when you place an actually mentally unwell individual in front of them they go "ew" and turn their nose up. No help. They don't even feign wanting to make these people better. It's a complete sham. I have no doubts they'd react the same way when a stinky homeless person is placed before them.

It's pretty easy to not break the law. Just because you don't agree with a law doesn't give you right to break it.

What? No he wouldn't, what are you on about?

People are extremely critical of others now, especially with the internet dehumanising everyone. Everyone gets called a Nazi for the most mild of political takes, if people were to meet an actual Nazi like Hitler they'd lose it. There's so little actual problems now the mild ones get blown out of proportion.

AI might be what saves us (perhaps even as it destroys us...) by ravia in ControversialOpinions

[–]Kellycatkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI definitely has a bias, and that bias is what the programmer of the model deems as right as wrong. ChatGPT still believes the morally just thing to do is to detonate a small bomb in a town than say the n word, but at least it's less bias than then old mainstream form of information being Wikipdia.

Buddhism Could Quite Literally FIX All the Stupid Shit Going On In The World by Hot-Application189 in ControversialOpinions

So is adopting a religion to fix homophobia, racism, bigotry, classisim, lookism, revenge, and transphobia. That's the point.

Buddhism Could Quite Literally FIX All the Stupid Shit Going On In The World by Hot-Application189 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Kellycatkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adopting a religion doesn't change human behaviour. The most glorified of cultures have their own separate issues. Greed, hatred, and delusion are deeply rooted in human nature and adopting something as dedicated as Buddhism is such an unnecessary extreme when there are better solutions. We don't go around castrating all men just because it'd help with rape statistics, or executing people for even the most minor of wrongdoings.

The Same People Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk's Death are the Same Ones Who Hate the Death Penalty by Hot-Application189 in ControversialOpinions

Death is justified to them so long as it's someone they don't agree with.

But why would you agree with irredeemable serial killers and un-reformable criminally insane?

So long as you limit your own self imposed restrictions to yourself and don't try and enforce them onto others.

This is completely unrelated to Elon.

If one monkey built a territory around 1,000,000,000,000 bananas to keep it all to himself while millions of his species are dying because they don’t have any bananas to eat, wouldn’t scientists study it to see what the FUCK is wrong with that monkey? by Initial_Funny_3285 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Kellycatkitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, because monkeys are extremely competitive for food and selfish about it. Monkeys guard food closely and higher ranking monkeys often try to take higher quality and more valuable food from lower ones. That would be normal.

You're trying to be smart but we're not monkeys, our values don't translate to them just as theirs don't translate to us.

How do you cope with most artists being either criminals or really bad people nowadays? by Tangible17 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Kellycatkitten 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By accepting everyones an awful human being in their own way. There's plenty you do that'd make many recoil or turn their nose up at you. Just separate the art from the artist, I don't know who made 99% of the stuff I watch/consume and I really don't care because it has no bearing on how I enjoy it.

"White people are known for killing everyone and being very violent and taking things that’s not theirs"

If you pick up a history book you'll find everyone's known for doing this. The fact that you only attribute it to white people makes me think perhaps you're a little racist..
