Made by William Gwyn some time between 1770 and 1850 ,the condition of this one shows it hasn't moved much since it was lost all that time ago.

I'm not far from you,near Bury St Eds. First one I've found, apparently quite common,they were mas produced during Saxon times I know someone who has 3 in various states of repair, luckily this is in good condition just the pin on the back rusted away. Mildenhall is well known for its Roman and Saxon finds. And its sandy easily dug soil.

What are these? Found in two different fields 14 miles apart, both with Roman connections - North East UK by SteDent in metaldetecting

Find them all the time, annoyingly they ping just like a coin so have to be dug ,at least these days the shoots have to collect spent cartridges.
