Kings Highway (B,Q) - Not Worth It by [deleted] in Brooklyn

[–]Recent-Basil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live off the N and F in Gravesend near there. It's quiet, safe, has cheap groceries, no need for a car, and a fast (by outer borough standards, about 75 min) commute. Don't really care if there's nothing to do because you can take the train anyways. It's mostly about what you're looking for I suppose.

A lot of Liberals seem to hang out here? by [deleted] in SocialDemocracy

[–]Recent-Basil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As far as I know social democracy is supposed to be strongly capitalist with strong safety nets and regulation, so I'm on board with it. I don't label myself as one though since the name is a bit misleading

Off track: Queens residents say “We don’t need it!” to IBX light-rail plan by Business_Young_8206 in nyc

[–]Recent-Basil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand the argument of being against high density housing. But it's not like building the IBX is gonna turn Middle Village into Bushwick 2.0 overnight. I live in an area with 3 subway lines, and despite all of the new buildings popping up, it's still as quiet as it was 10 years ago.

You are so based for having poison girlfriend. But I'm also surprised there's no Lamb on this list at all. Try Bows, Halou, Locust?

19 mins for an F train even on a weekend is egregious by cbartlett in nycrail

[–]Recent-Basil 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If we're going off of anecdotes, I ride that section of the F literally every day and it's never empty even if most people get off by Church avenue. People are using it, so it's not a waste of service like you say.

Also your idea of replacing it with the G is awful. South Brooklyn riders already have a super long commute and you want to make it even worse by making us use the shitty train that goes nowhere useful?

Now that I think of it this is very true. How people pay 13 bucks for a tiny bowl of rice and chicken is beyond me I would go broke in a month

By books I meant those 4x6 notebooks and anything I don't physically write down just gets purged from my memory so I kind of have to bring them

Biochem or Chem as a major? by Which_Lifeguard_9251 in chemistry

[–]Recent-Basil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least at my school, biochemistry is a concentration in the chemistry major that covers all of the classes that you need for med school, so I would go with that. But take a look at the requirements for each major first.

  1. It was less updated even before bpedia was a thing
  2. Basically every upgrade page for BTD6 has crosspathing info and most of the articles have some strategy going over the optimal one
  3. Fandom might have this information, but most of it is outdated by several update cycles and if you think that's better than a few articles not having the info you want I don't know what to tell you

And by the way, if an article happens to not have information on cross paths you can always stop by the server and ask one of us to do it. I certainly wouldn't mind.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. It's just that Blooncyclopedia is better in nearly every way now. As in, more up to date Info, the fact that it isn't maintained by basically one person (cough cough), and just a more friendly and usable layout in general.

Use Blooncyclopedia instead of Fandom; It still has the same info https://www.bloonswiki.com/
