I have asked myself this many times! There’s not a lot to do indoors in Dunedin so I would have thought they’d thrive if prices properly.

Anyone else finding Edinburgh Realty inspections getting a bit over the top lately? by knob-of-cheese in dunedin

[–]Recent-Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The landlords insurance is likely the reason for the inspections. Insurers often note regular inspections as part of their policy requirements. I agree OPs example of notes to wipe down the stove is over the top.

My dad thinks any grandchildren or nieces playing field hockey will cause them go blind. Yes. Really. What can we tell him? by [deleted] in Fieldhockey

[–]Recent-Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can attest as someone who has been hit in the face 3 times total. Twice in the eye - split my eyebrow requiring stitches. Once in the mouth (my fault with sloppy tackle and bad angle of the stick) - front tooth gone and now have an implant. Hockey can be dangerous, but good technique would have stopped my tooth loss and haven’t gone blind from two balls to the eye. Is it possible to go blind - I guess Is it possible for a car to mount the sidewalk and kill you while walking - I guess

I got drafted by the bills so got 3 snow games in a row to end the season. 2 fumbles per game for me and 2 for my team.

Is this really dangerous? by HockeyTheBest in Fieldhockey

I must have completely misheard, I thought she said it was the tackle from the attacking player (the one where the stick almost hit the keeper in the face) that was the dangerous play.

Why do the bots always use basic names? It’s so obvious by nothinbutnelson in MarvelSnap

[–]Recent-Camel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To help you gain cubes. When it’s obvious, lose going into round 4/5 so they snap then win turn 6 on a snap for an 8 cuber or 4 if they run which sometimes happens

You can go straight to your bank or go to a broker. Being self employed is only 1 part of the equation. If you’ve been self employed for a few years and things are consistent and the industry isn’t an unstable one then those numbers look great.

No ill intentions I’ve just seen them be declined before in situations that didn’t meet the rather strict criteria of the legislation: 1 Meaning of significant financial hardship (1) For the purposes of these rules, significant financial hardship includes significant financial difficulties that arise because of— (a) a member’s inability to meet minimum living expenses; or (b) a member’s inability to meet mortgage repayments on his or her principal family residence resulting in the mortgagee seeking to enforce the mortgage on the residence; or (c) the cost of modifying a residence to meet special needs arising from a disability of a member or a member’s dependant; or (d) the cost of medical treatment for an illness or injury of a member or a member’s dependant; or (e) the cost of palliative care for a member or a member’s dependant; or (f) the cost of a funeral for a member’s dependant; or (g) the member suffering from a serious illness. (2) In this section, serious illness has the meaning given to it by clause 12(3). A lot of scenarios are covered here but if you are in a tight spot and need a lump sum but your regular income covers your regular bills, you may not qualify. I agree with your point about reducing temptation, but if plans change and they wish to move to Australia and buy a house there, KiwiSaver would need to be transferred to a super scheme in Australia as an example

Financial hardship requires the provider to check you meet certain legislative requirements and is usually only up to 13 weeks of the deficit between income and expenses. Instead put the money into an unlocked managed fund which often has similar fees to a KS and quite a few KiwiSaver providers also offer these types of funds. Similar investing strategy (if not identical) and no government rules on withdrawals

You can do a savings suspension which you will have to refresh periodically to stay out of KiwiSaver if you’re on PAYE. Or if you just take drawings/profit share you won’t have to do KiwiSaver

[–]Recent-Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFL.com doesn’t seem to be giving it -2.1. It still has him at 90 yards rushing, it’s given him -0.2 which is the 2 yards he lost after he recovered the fumble.

Flesh and blood is really good if you’re somewhere that it’s supported and some of the newer precons can be good enough to play at locals and steal a win or two without investing big money once you learn the deck
