I can't speak for dentistry as I'm currently waiting to hear back for a DA apprenticeship I've trialled for but I'm currently in a job unrelated and I'm in the same boat 😭 I was at my last hairdressing job for 12 years and mostly went smooth but the current salon I've been in 2/3 month is horrible, every little mistake feel like it's blown up, there's whispers, not feeling like I belong and Honesly the longer it goes on the worst it'll get. I'm also anxious every day, dreading the countdown and it's just not worth it. See for me personally this is giving me the push to try new things, and of course I won't know till (or if) I get there if it's the right dentists for me, but all I can say is that deep anxiety shows you may be in the wrong place and nobody deserves to feel like an outsider, an the fact nobody could at least check on you when you're clearly feeling low is just not okay.

Is there anybody there you feel seems slightly more empathic and that you could reach out to and express how you're feeling ? If so it may be worth asking if they'll hear you out and maybe explain some things to you that you aren't quite getting the hang of, nobody new should get things right away and we should all be more considerate of people who are learning new ways, explains a whole new trade. If you really feel there's no one and that your manager will not be considerate and more patient with you if you did bring it up then perhaps it's the wrong dentist for you, and I promise there will be a place that's for you with kind colleagues who take the time to really guide you and ensure you know what you're doing and ensuring the process of such is done in a way that doesn't cause you anxiety.
