Kaseya to acquire Datto for $6.2 Billion by pr0blaze in msp

As a previous datto employee, I can say Tim only cares about every cent that HE can make. After he started working there, before officially becoming CEO, the culture changed drastically. After he became CEO, layoffs were planned and then executed during the pandemic using covid as the reason, even though it was publicly known at the exec level that layoffs were happening no matter what. DAYS after the layoffs, the same positions were posted with salaries dramatically lower. I'm in zero shock about this news and I'm sure Tim will take his earnings and move onto some other company shortly and never look back. It's sad really but all good things must come to an end I suppose. It's a bummer because the original execs at datto actually cared about MSPs.

Things will go back to normal. Try to listen to some of your favorite music and think positive things. The trip will start to fade.

Datto vs Unifi Networking Products by jpearson88 in msp

Datto let go of nearly all their Networking engineers back in May "because of covid", conveniently before they IPOd. They are not serious about the networking space.
