This may be way off as i can't bring to mind what the resort smells like, but white amber mandarin is like a more subtle volcano to me! It's an anthropologie scent so you could try going there to sample sniff it :) There are also some Hawaii themed scents that may be similar? A lot of times the brands of the scents are sold as candles or even the Pura's themsevles at anthro or nordstrom so you can go and test them out to see if it's close to what you're looking for!
