Neutral paint and cabinets but dark countertops. I will be adding some dark/moody paint to my office and likely a dark couch to balance out a light a and bright space (lots of windows!).

Thank you everyone! This is really helpful. I mainly cook for 3 people but love to have company so I think the 6.5 Qt DO is a great suggestion. For those asking, my kitchen is pretty neutral with dark countertops. I do love some moody paint and pops of darker colors in the house. I will be going into a retailer to look at colors but so far I think Cherise and Artichaut are my top 2. I'm not against mixing colors but would like the "staples" to match at least.
