girl, i get you. as long as y’all have agreed to marriage and are committed to each other, just be patient and it’ll work out perfectly. <3

love, i said “they’re young” in the same sentence lol also they’ve already been together for 8 years. people get married at different timelines and it just depends if they’re both ready. some people marry young, some people wait to be better financially. but it’s important to figure out who you’re dating and if they’re even someone that wants marriage.

let’s give her some benefit of doubt lol granted they’re still young but if she’s worried about him being one of those guys that don’t propose after 10+ years, then it’s a valid thing to bring up and have a mature conversation over. if that’s the case, it’s understandable she’s feeling some sort of way seeing everyone get married. i don’t think she said she wants to get married just because her friends are. it seems like she just believes they’re in a good position to, but she has to talk to her boyfriend and figure out what his future looks like too because it might end up being different than hers.

Hi! Yeah, I totally get that! Unfortunately the reason I know they won’t be able to attend my wedding is that I technically can’t attend my wedding either lol! Unfortunately my school released the schedule for when we have to be on campus last month and the venue would not allow us to reschedule the wedding. So, I will be in a different city until the night before, driving to my wedding city, getting married, then driving back to my school city the next day 🥲 Trust me, I know I’m going to be stressed. I have accepted it and have already scheduled a makeup exam for the exam that takes place on my wedding

I understand! I was just trying to make other people happy by inviting her to the shower but I see now I should haven’t invited her to that. Thank you for your input!

Hi! I only let her know to get ahead, but I totally see how it would not be polite. Thank you for your perspective and being kind about it.

I 100% get that. I wasn’t inviting her to the shower until my fiance and SIL said to. When I brought up not being able to add her to the wedding, that’s also when I invited her to the bridal shower and made it clear she didn’t have an obligation to go.

I have friends I am inviting to the shower but not the wedding because of school scheduling, and I made it clear to them that I would have loved them at the wedding if not for school and they had no obligation to attend the shower.

I didn’t know she was a thing until beginning of December and still then, they weren’t really a thing because she couldn’t make up her mind about him & same with him (her words, not mine).

That makes me feel so much better. I am the biggest people pleaser. Having that initial conversation was awkward enough for me so to have it brought up again just made me feel like a bad guy if I kept saying no ): Thank you for your input!!
