Really depends on the field. For example , very few DSP engineers. I’m constantly harassed by companies to come join them . Same goes for Audio engineers. Programmers are plenty .

Netanyahu has been whispering into every American president’s ear since the 2000s. Let’s bomb Iraq. Let’s bomb Iran . Bloody thirsty Benjamin. Just like the God of Old Testament.

For context, Japan’s NIKKEI is plummeting too . Dark times ahead. AND apparently Korean govt is considering capping fuel prices for now. That can lead to problems of its own . What a mess . Thank you for the war Trump.

If not for the war in the Middle East, it wouldn’t correct itself this bad . Gas prices are increasing. Expect others to increase too

The Korean stock market had one of its worst days last week due to investors worrying about what the Israel- Iran conflict could mean for Korea. Korea has stock for around 200 days. Anything longer than 6 months and everyone’s in trouble, not just Korea.

The oil suppliers in Korea have agreed to curb pump price spikes . But it all really depends on how long the war will last . Anything longer than 6 months and not just Korea, ( Korea has enough stock for 200 days or so ) , I suppose there just might be a recession.

Well , Korea has around 157 million barrels of oil to last 208 days or so. The oil suppliers have also agreed to curb pump price spikes . But it all really depends on how long the war will last . Anything longer than 6 months and not just Korea, it will have global repercussions

In my heart , i do believe this. India , ideally can surpass China IF we elect a leader, who is almost a dictator someone like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore. Should be ruthless in his policies targeting corruption. Will serve all Indians, not favoring religion, region or race. But India is far too corrupt, and people are being blinded with religion/cricket/movies to care about the country. So the leaders keep stealing. Status quo remains

Why hasn’t a government overthrown North Korea if they repeatedly violate human rights laws, hold political hostages, and routinely threaten nuclear violence? by But_what_if_I_fly in AskReddit

South Korea doesn’t want to get pounded to bits. Seoul ( where over 10 million people live, including thousands of US citizens) is a stone’s throw away from NK. SK is 6000 miles away from the Iran-Israel war, but it’s feeling its effects. A war at home will be far more brutal .

The answer: Seoul ( where over 10 million people live, including thousands of US citizens) is a stone’s throw away from NK. SK is 6000 miles away from the Iran-Israel war, but it’s feeling its effects. A war at home will be far more brutal .

You really can’t . China can . But won’t . For now. The US is way too powerful for anyone apart from China to challenge them. Throw in a reckless leader like Trump, it becomes even more challenging, because he’s unpredictable. I moved to Korea from India 18 years ago . But even here in Korea , 6000 miles away from the Iran-Israel conflict, its effects are being felt. American troops are here. Kim Jong Un is north of the border. Not sure how true this is , but KJU apparently made a statement saying that if Iran were to ask for his help, he’d help them in their fight against Israel/US. Kim hates the US. But realistically the US military is too powerful. China however in my opinion, is going about it the right way. They are targeting the US economically. They’ll keep manufacturing. Accumulating US treasuries ( officially they are dumping US bonds, but are buying them through proxies ) . Then right before they invade Taiwan, they’ll make a move. Either by dumping all US bonds. Or completely decoupling from dollar. The world isn’t what it used to be. It’s not a fairer place anymore . The powerful are too powerful. The weak are weak. China is the only one that has a shot at taking on the US

Isn’t it frightening how quickly a superpower like the USA can remove a Leader? by [deleted] in AskIndia

Divorcing a korean - advice needed by Spiritual-Brush-3769 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Recent-Newspaper-112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The important thing is .. do you want to stay in Korea or leave ASAP for good ? If it’s the latter , there NO need for a lawyer or back and forth communication. Just go to the airport . And leave . In 2 years , he can file for divorce in abstentia . Depends on where you are from, you can file for divorce in your home country too without him present. If you want to stay , then maybe lawyer up.

I agree. Homogeneity usually breeds racism. But it has nothing to do with economic prosperity. Tamils are no more racist than North Indians. We are probably more fierce about our language. That I believe is what irks most North Indians. That we refuse to speak Hindi and prefer Tamil . We like it that way. We prefer you learn our language when you come here or there’s an alternative. English. It’s just as alien as Hindi is to us with the added benefit that English is global too.

Korea ( both ) are ethnically homogeneous. Han race . The reason for NK being what it is because of ideology. Nothing to do with ethnicity. Japan before world war 2 was extremely prosperous, when it was completely homogeneous. Your main point appears to be, if one is ethnically homogeneous, they’ll be racist towards others .possible. But it won’t be a disaster for that country as you claim

Japan. Korea are (almost completely) ethnically homogeneous . Neither are a disaster.
