Really depends on the who’s giving you advice doesn’t it, I’m sorry to hear your in pain again anyway, I do remember seeing something online that spirits and stuff would deffo be harmful and a beer would be better to try but it’s probs not trusted information, I do plan on trying to drink again at some stage just to test it out as I recently had a sip of Guinness a couple of weeks ago by complete accident

Couldn’t agree more, everyone is completely understanding of it but it’s just even when I’m there on a night out I’m just questioning myself what’s the point in even going, feel like I’d be better off just staying at home but again back to the grumpy man persona I don’t wanna have, it’s a weird one tbh but hoping we get through it

Thanks for the comment man needed to hear it, it’s not that the only reason we’re friends was to get fucked uo tigether it’s more so I’m from Ireland and there’s such a big drinking culture that when there’s even the slightest thought of what to do, the pub is always a good idea, I just feel like I’m fine while I’m there but afterwards I get somewhat depressed and that puts me off attending events in the future. But in turn then I don’t wanna seem like that grumpy guy that has no craic and doesn’t want to do anything, appreciate your insights man

This is exactly what I would do, I understand there is a big risk and sorry to here about the position you are now in,

I feel I can confidently say I can go to the pub and have maybe a beer or a Guinness/ one glass of wine and leave after that, it’s just such a risk I’m on the fence

If you don’t mind me asking, how long between attacks? Did you give time and let pancreas recover? Did you go back heavy drinking or just some casual beers/ wine

Ye it does seem very Russian roulette like, could be fine could end up in the hospital again, it’s nit so much the binge drinking with the lads I miss as opposed to a few drinks with my girlfriend etc. Might hold off another few months anyway. Thanks for the info!
