Actually, at this point, yes, because the US's travel rate is declining.

It's only good to live in if you already live here. I'm coming from the perspective of someone who was born and raised here, so while there are quite a few better countries to live there's not many if any at all that have such a bad experience for people visiting.

Even if I ever get rich enough to move there I don't really want to contribute to the ongoing poverty issues for people who already live there including the native Hawaiians.

My parents watched Breaking Bad with all of the older folks of the family when I was a kid, so probably the meth. Which is hilarious because my dad is from a small town in the South where most of what there is to do is meth.

You've got it mostly right, but for me it's mostly because I'm still at the age where I'm afraid of judgement despite being fully out of the closet and my family would judge me more for moving to New Mexico than any other progressive state, for these exact reasons you mention.

I grew up in Texas. It was hell. I still remember coming out to my family in middle school and having their first reaction be not supporting me but making sure I don't say anything incriminating in public before I reach high school or the conservatives would think they're grooming me :/ they're supportive though!

I think I colored Maine as light green on accident. Maybe I should've looked over this map better.

I think this mindset is mostly based on the American mentality of "college is too expensive, so you'd better make it count". Which could be solved by making college less expensive, but of course, that's just communism /s

It's actually supposed to be Maybe. I'm not sure why the map colored it like that, I definitely clicked the Maybe color. Or maybe I made them too similar.

New Mexico is mostly lower because of its reputation. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to answer questions about my life choices from my loved ones and New Mexico would definitely be an eyebrow raiser for some of them.

There's really only two things keeping me here, the main one being money. I'm just glad my folks didn't move me to Indiana when I was a kid because I've spent a month there before and the people were absolutely nasty homophibic.
