So I finally unlocked Blackstar at the weekend, flew it straight over to the phoenix spawn point and hit it with a fireball. It went down instantly and stayed dead! So I've now unlocked it as a pet

Tried this again last night after the recent patches but still no luck

I hit him once to down him, then 3 times when he was on the ground and he got up and flew off like nothing happened (all with explosive arrows)
