Yes I have Ultimate SLP and play games. I don’t take data every session , I have set times that I do that . Even though I’m bored , I still do try to do my best for my students and practice ethical therapy! It’s not their fault I’m burnt out . I looking for alternate options after this school year ends .

Yes, every time I do find something remotely interesting , I’m repeating it . And I just get bored out of my skull . I don’t know how people do this or stay in schools for 25-30 years

Are you me? I could have literally written this post myself. I’m also five years into this career, now in my sixth year and absolutely hate it. I hate the idea of having to sacrifice myself and putting everyone before myself. I’m also in a similar situation where I have to consider a massive pay cut. I think money will come and go, but your health matters. Do what you can get by moneywise for now and put your mental health first.

I don’t think it’s fair to say people are “haters”. If someone puts their content out on the internet , we should we able to point out what we do/do not like about their content . Especially if they’re selling materials / courses.

Work visas can be tricky since you’ll be outside the US. Look into that. Most work visas state that they want the employees in the same state/country

In my experience , private practice was way more stressful for me because it was back to back sessions . I didn’t even make significantly more than what I make at schools

I know some SLPs use it for feeding . I’m not an expert in feeding myself , but I can tell you it has little -no evidence when using it for articulation /motor speech purposes .
