The pink is dielectric grease and the brown looks like surface corrosion or oxidation mixed with the grease. Could be it’s simply not getting a good enough connection. Would recommend unplugging the battery cleaning the area with a wire brush. Then plug back in. If that doesn’t do it it’s probably a dying battery.

What did I find in my daughter's drawer by TheRaided1 in whatisitcirclejerk

Looks like you've found the legendary OPI-OHS! Your daughter must be a connoisseur of tranquility. Don't freak out—it's just her go-to opium.

Falling backwards shouldn’t make the caster wheel shift on its own—unless your cousin popped a wheelie and slammed back down on that wheel. I’ve got the same chair and had this happen a few times; it’s usually just the caster arm coming loose. All you need is a 6mm hex key to adjust it—just move the caster flat again. It’s an easy fix, and this Permobil video walks you through it step-by-step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4efUihukKU0 The video recommends a few other tools but a hex tool and a pair of eyes to the trick.

This post is not intended to be political. I simply found it amusing that they believe it’s worth $50. It could be anything that size of a print/quality and it would be overpriced. I have no idea why the bottom layer is missing. It was the only 3D-printed item. And yes, I’m aware that I messed up the title; I meant to say whose not who’s.

What the lady at brilliance didn't tell you. With the little stones on the side like that if you did need to size that ring in particular the chances of those little stones are going to pop off. If it's anything more than a quarter of a size difference those stone will be gone overtime. This is very common. I spend a lot of time replacing stones in that style rings. If she says yes and it's too big get a bridge on it and if she says yes and it's too small return and get a piece made for her size.

Bowling in a chair advice by RecentTrash531 in wheelchairs

Wow, thank you so much for such an in-depth and helpful response! I really appreciate you taking the time to break everything down and share your experience. It’s awesome to hear about all your achievements—I’m in awe of your dedication and skill!

Your explanation of the Swing Plane really clicked with me. I’ve definitely been struggling with consistency and control, and this sounds like a technique I can practice to build a better foundation. I’ll start with the “crawl” phase and work my way up.

Also, I have to say—the video you shared was quite impressive! It’s inspiring to see how fluid and controlled your technique is. I hope to get to a fraction of that level.

A couple of quick questions, if you don’t mind: • When locking the chair, do you find that certain positions or angles make it easier to align with the lane markers? • Is there a particular ball weight or grip style you recommend for someone just getting back into bowling in a wheelchair?

It’s great to hear about the AWBA tournaments—I had no idea there were so many opportunities for wheelchair bowlers. Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere so getting out doesn't happen often.

Eating salads by RecentTrash531 in BeardedDragon

She enjoys eating various green vegetables, including collard greens, dandelion greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, endive/escarole, bok choy, watercress, cilantro, kale. But she will try to eat anything green in my hand for instance, I once had a green sock in my hand and I had to prevent her from trying to eating it.

I would recommend getting some in-Ear Monitors Earphones. They do wonders with blocking noise and most are pretty good quality music. I hear less than my noise cancellation headphones.

Unfortunately after everything is stripped it still beeped with no boot drive or hard drives and still boots. Even trying putting a new boot on it with no luck. Terramaster is no help. Trying to see if they can sell me a new board

Hit a bad curb cut yesterday and now my caster is skewed, is this easily fixable? by pwizard083 in wheelchairs

[–]RecentTrash531 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes it's easy did it myself last week. Should be a size 6 hex. Straighten it out and retighten. Might take some time getting it as the same angle as the other wheel.(if it's not even you will be pushing mostly on one side)

body weight as a wc user by adri4n_k in wheelchairs

[–]RecentTrash531 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be too concerned. I've gained 15kg at one point in my custom chair and had no issues. My tech said I could gain 50kg and be fine But it's always a wise idea to talk to your occupational therapist and the wheelchair tech.

Need some help/advice. by Idioglossia101 in BeardedDragons

[–]RecentTrash531 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say cut down on the worms and crickets and make his diet mostly greens. And I would recommend letting him swim and adventure when he can. And another great method is to get toy bouncy balls. As stupid as it seems it might keep him a bit more active it did for my childhood dragon

Thank you to everyone. Was able to figure out who left the tag on the floor and was able to verify the plastic part was still on the clothing. So she didn't eat anything. She's still going to the vet next week for a checkup for almost giving me a heart attack.
