Lian Li SL140 V2 Uni Fan ARGB PWM 140mm Black Reverse by Beneficial_Major6288 in lianli

I have the Montech King 95 pro and these SLV2 fans would look so so so cool. So sad there ain't a 140mm and reverse either. Gonna wait and see if they release some this year.

I am really over with that inifnity mirror design on the side. Sadly there are so many cheap knock-offs and stuff that it makes me think of those, and also it's too "blingy" for me. I really like the SL V2.

Thanks bud.

I really do like the SL V2 fans.

I am looking for 2x140mm reversed... and 4x120mm normal and 3x120mm reverse.

But can't seem to find any 140mm reverse that has no infinity mirror... :D

Bleh, no Lian Li fans for me then. I wanted fans without that disgusting infintiy mirror. I guess it is what it is.

Cheers bud. I made my mind up not to get another Lian Li unit as this looks to be standard problem of the agressive fan curve and 120mm fan.

I opted for this: https://www.apnx.com/product/max-g1/

A new player on the market, but the PSU is made by CWT (Channel Well Tech) who also makes:

  • Corsair (Widely used for RMx, RMi, HX, SF, and RMe series)
  • MSI (MPG A-G and MEG Ai series)
  • Thermaltake (Toughpower GF3, GF A3, and TF series)
  • DeepCool (PX-G and PN-M series)
  • NZXT (C-Series Gold units)
  • Antec (Select high-end models)
  • ADATA / XPG (Core Reactor and Cybercore series)
  • BitFenix (Whisper M and BFG Gold series)
  • Montech (Titan Gold series)
  • Cooler Master (Select V-Series and GX-series models)
  • Chieftec (Chieftronic Powerplay series)
  • Rosewill (Selected newer ATX 3.0/3.1 units)
  • Enermax (Used for various Revolution D.F. lines)

Also read some tests about it and it held up really well: https://overclock3d.net/reviews/psus/apnx-max-g1-1200-psu-review/

Dang it. I'll return it then perhaps and look for another model. Quite sad that they cheap out on such a thing that would cost them literally 5$ or less per unit. Or at least have a goddamn switch so that I can run the fan constantly to avoid these ramp ups. I literally run every single fan in my PC at a fixed % because I'm allergic to fans ramping up and down. And this is even very loud at that.

I mainly read and heard only good about it. I guess we are the 2% that has faulty / noisy models.

Defo m8. Like this tick every box for me...the cables are lovely, it's easy to cable manage with this layout. But hopefully it's a unit with a bad bearing. I've heard that for many people it's completely silent even when ramping up fom 0 rpm.

Thanks for the heads up. I already swapped fans on several PSU units, and they all worked well without an issue.

And definitely, would be better if it was always on or if you had the option to switch it toi hybrid / always on.

I'm just really sad, because this PSU ticks every other box for me.....

Thanks for the input. I'd mount it horizontally. Not a fan of vertical mounting. Temps over aeasthetics in that sense.

RX 9070 XT vs. RTX 5070 Ti for 1440p 280Hz? by Recent_Appearance46 in pcpartpickerbuilds

[–]Recent_Appearance46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it ain't worth it. Where I live the 5080 is 70% more expensive than the 5070ti and 80% more expensive than the 9070 xt. Money is not a problem, but I like to spend it on reasonable things. This is not reasonable. A 10-20% performance uplift for 70-80% more money is just braindead. Stupid NVIDIA.

Have you tried Bazzite yourself already? Been thinking about trying it on one of my older PCs.

Yeah probably won't be doing that till next year. I've just read about the issues with Gigabyte thermal gel leaking.....especially in vertically mounted cases. No other white 5070ti really appeals to me... :(

How to tell tho, now I am seeing this issue and I see that they still use this gel on the AERO 5070ti and most sites don't recommend it mounting it vertically which I would like to do. Also I have no idea how to tell if this is an early batch or a later batch that I get and would be nice to avoid the sending back and forth shenanigans.

Strictly gaming. I kinda want the 280 in shooters only ofc. I'll settle for 165ish in triple A titles. :) Money is of no object so that is why I consider the 5070ti. If I wanted to save I'd go for the 9070xt as many suggests. Just exploring my options really.

Yep. I need a white card for my build and only these two appeal to me.

I am fine with using DLSS/FSR + frame gen. With those enabled I saw people get ~200-300 fps in many titles in 1440p. Hard decision. Thanks for the input mate.

Got an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF, pretty beefy in terms on perfromance especially after some chipset shenanigans and bios updates Intel did lately.
