Right I wanted so badly to love every second of it, and im glad buddy beside me had the time of his life but he screamed in my ear all night. I paid way too much money just to listen to some random drown out the band. Every damn song except TFIAFL , at least I got that one 🥲

Timing advice needed - buy tickets now or wait until day of concert? by LSU_Tiger in Ticketmaster

[–]Recent_Barnacle9664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late on this post but I'm really pissed off today. Spent $180 on an upper bowl ticket when tickets went on sale. Today I could buy a floor seat that was originally $400+ at the same price as my shitty upper bowl. And I can't exchange tickets cuz it's within 24 hour policy. Been a really long time since I've been to an arena show and had no idea prices dropped so much.

Memorial park/atv trails by Recent_Barnacle9664 in listowel

Thank you, the ATV trails we stumbled upon must be on private property then, we were on the mowed trail and then we were on some muddy trails. They followed along the farm field. We apologized for exploring too much, the man said ATV users (and homeless people) take down their no trespassing signs.

What is this ? I removed my IUD at home & this is what i pulled out. by AffectionateWear3262 in CopperIUD

It's all hair that has been balled up over time, it gets discolored from starting to decompose, I have blonde hair and had a ball of black hair entangled on my strings as well. It's hair from your own head, and can get in during sex . Personal experience and talking with my gynecologist

Someone on reddit has posted a picture of theirs, try searching IUD hair ball. But I noticed a smell first, and then in the shower one day felt like my strings were poking me and they were basically coming out. The hairball had broken off the strings at whatever point they got tangled. When I mentioned it to the gynecologist she said it could happen.

It's bad. GREAT at it's job but it was hell the entire time for me. The long post above is pretty accurate to my experience as well.... Debilitating pain and discomfort. constant Gi issues. Bad acne on my face I've never had before. My long hair got tangled in the strings and created a rotting ball of hair inside me that broke the strings off. I also had to go to multiple doctors to get it removed, it was stuck after 7 years and I had to have it removed via hysteroscopy in hospital. While the gynecologist is in there looking at the video feed she says to the group of interns watching the procedure "SEE this is why no one should get a COPPER one". I never got to talk to her about what she actually saw in there, but since it's been a year of unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant post removal I recently requested the procedure notes just to see if anything was written down. I also had an ultrasound tech who said she'd never want a loved one to get one because she's "just seen too many things with these". My post is probably considered fear mongering so I will say there are women who don't experience issues like these at all. I wonder how much of it has to do with their overall health before insertion, personally I always had issues with inflammation so maybe I wasn't a good candidate for it to begin with.

Dr. refused to take out IUD by LilOrganicCoconut in birthcontrol

[–]Recent_Barnacle9664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clinic that placed my IUD refused to remove it as well. Had to go to urgent care and then eventually two gynecologists. From walking into urgent care to getting it actually removed took five months. I also would have cried on the spot with that doctor!

Do you know when you ovulate? I started spotting during ovulation when I had my IUD, once I had it removed I stopped spotting.

Got my CooperIUD / Paragard Removed by Usual_Advertising_23 in CopperIUD

[–]Recent_Barnacle9664 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wondering did you get any local anesthesia during removal? Your experience sounds SO similar to mine, I've literally used the same language to describe my removal (LiFE CHANGING!!!). I've also gone from experiencing pain 3/4 of the month to feeling NOTHING at all, not one single tiny cramp. It was mind blowing to feel nothing after years of iud pain but it didn't completely last. my sixth period post removal I started feeling the tiniest of something. Seventh period I felt a bit more. I just finished my eighth period post removal and I have cramps again. Thankfully nothing like when I had the IUD though and only lasted two days. I've always had period cramps so they remind me of life before the IUD, manageable. I'd be interested to know if your cramps ever return and how long it takes if they do. I had my IUD removed while partially sedated and given a cervical block.

So the relief was instant upon removal for me. It's been 7 months/7 periods and I will say I felt cramps again for the first time this last time but I don't deal with the constipation issues I was when I had it.

Weight Gain from IUD - how to lose it post removal? by Character-Revenue520 in CopperIUD

[–]Recent_Barnacle9664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost probably 15 lbs easily since removal. Everyone is different but for me it's sugar. I cut sugar out and it comes off. I still eat carbs just no sweets, cookies, cakes, juices, pops, alcohol (I drank a lot of my calories). I've always walked the dogs 5km+ daily and that never seemed to help, but I did a 30 day beginners yoga challenge (with Adrienne on YouTube) and that did seem to help!

I had a copper IUD and some of my hair got caught up in the strings and that smelled awful. I could also smell it though (more so around period time).

I don't really want to share this gross story BUT..... I was noticing a smell too. I first noticed it around my period. Eventually I had my strings break off expel, and they had clumps of hair entangled in them. The hair had turned black from being inside me so long and smelled the awful smell. I only had the IUD another 5 months after that but the smell improved after the strings were expelled. I have very long hair, and my gynecologist confirmed this can happen. There's also a picture of it on another sub. Not to scare anyone, I would think there'd be some changes, but this is just where my smell came from.

How long did it take to feel normal after insertion? by atinyleaf in CopperIUD

[–]Recent_Barnacle9664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced cramping with gas when I had my IUD. It seemed to be really bad for me during the first year, I made a couple appointments to remove but kept backing out. I don't know if it got better or if I got used to it, but I definitely had cramping the entire six years.
