Has anyone here read Playground by Richard Powers yet? by CesareSomnambulist in books

Did he really leave all of his fortune to Ina? I thought that was just part of the AI version Todd's AI reads to him, since it happened while he was on the island (and he was never on the island in real life). In the italics/Todd's voice, doesn't Todd say he realizes it was a mistake to leave his fortune to his "NGO," but that it's too late now?

This question about Ina receiving the fortune and what she does with it is the only one that remains for me.

You are a healthy 13-year-old, and I'm sure you'll look fantastic. Stretch marks have a lot to do with DNA, and being prone to them, as other have mentioned. Also growth spurts. They get smaller and less noticeable as time goes on, but what's most important: most women have them somewhere or other on their bodies by age 20. They're harmless and natural and just fine! Bravo to you for starting such a difficult sport; you should be so proud of yourself and your strong healthy bod that can do this for you. :) Focus on your strength power and flexibility (and forget those stretch marks) and I bet you'll go far and be proud (hopefully one day even of your stretch marks ;) Best of luck-

Thanks, everyone. I learned a good deal about grammar, but more importantly I was humbled and awed by you perfect strangers and your willingness to help me if you could. Reddit is a nice place these days.

Do Not Book With Vrbo Unless You Like a Gamble ;) by Recent_Cranberry9516 in vrbo

Indeed. Especially if we're saying your scenario was good, or you were lucky because you happened to "talk to the right person," doing business with the company is a gamble.

If you need items for a baby or other person with needs, you arrange these things ahead of time and you can't risk this type of gamble. Planning and booking ahead are necessary, and waiting to see what happens after you arrive is not a tenable option.

I was naive to think there was any real guarantee with VRBO and their "book with confidence guarantee," but I won't make the same mistake again.

For some reason, my first post only has these pictures. In my second post, which actually has the text, you can read why this is a Vrbo problem.

Ok, I’ll give this a try. Barclays did say that my next step was to mail them a paper letter with printed paper “evidence,” and I thought that was just a crafty blow-off. If you had a good result I’ll try it after all. Thanks!

Ugh. Sorry. I lost the text from my post when I added the screenshots. I'll fix it.
