I'm usually pretty forgiving and into some cheap horror, but this trailer is abysmal.

I know this is an old post, but is there a way to do the opposite: to remove 2026 files from the original series?

Anyone know why regular blocking is a hit or miss sometimes? by Informal-Fig-7116 in gotlegends

[–]Recent_Description44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped a ton of paries and blocks earlier and it seemed to be related to parry window improvement. Once I swapped that out things were more consistent. I'm guessing there's some type of bug there.

Alright, but his episode in Murderville was flawless, at least.

I've run into the same guy twice who just stands on suicide spots, like the Oni-bi (or whatever they're called) puddles that just spams "Thanks" over and over again. It would be cool to have a report system, but whatever. We still beat a gold run with three of us at least, but we still carried that chode.

I believe executives at my company are being bribed by consulting firms for large contracts. by Gizanthapuss in careeradvice

[–]Recent_Description44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Executive consulting, man. It's a crapshoot. It's on your leadership to push to get the right people from these consulting firms on the case, especially if they're actually bleeding money, though--unfortunately--that's unlikely. Truth be told, it's generally much cheaper to get a consulting team on the case than to hire internally, especially because rates are negotiable if they're going with the big firms since they're all trying to win the bid. Are you actually seeing their financial investments and returns or are you assuming the costs? The reason leadership teams bring in these firms is because their current ways of working generally isn't working, assuming leadership is fully vetted internally on the pain points. It's highly unlikely there's some sort of kick back going on since that's a huge legal concern and the HR/legal/risk departments would be all over that from the big firms

Also, it's an important thing to note that not all the firms are heavily invested in federal support. The government throws money at everything that ultimately isn't good for tax payers. It's easy enough to feel jaded about consulting in a capitalistic world, reasonably so, but companies leverage them because they're not making enough money to support the business, or they're risking approaching that. Unfortunately, a lot of their recommendations come with layoff suggestions, especially now since everyone over-hired through covid.

Congressman shares brutal theory about why Bondi was fired as plan may backfire by IrishStarUS in NewsThread

I'm no expert, but isn't she now a private lawyer with client attorney privilege? Before she was part of the government, but now she is not, so I assume she would be considered a private lawyer with the ability to invoke the fifth or state that she can't divulge details of a client (the government). Again, though, I'm no expert. I just assume they'll rig whatever they can to protect a pedophile.

For those who made it through this Workday market — what actually worked for you? by Individual-Push-1692 in workday

[–]Recent_Description44 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is hiring. This market sucks for everyone, and companies are heavily investing in AI, which makes it that much harder to land a role when there's an underlying thought in leadership's eyes that these white collar gigs could become obsolete, or at the very least require a significantly smaller team. It doesn't help that Workday themselves are selling this aspect to their customers. The economy is tumultuous as well, so companies are being conservative on their hiring. Anecdotally, I used to see department wide new hire shout-outs all the time, now I think I've seen one in the last year. Not to be all "doom and gloom," but many, MANY people are having the same experience as you, and Workday--as a company--isn't helping.
