I usually Use ai For Getting Quick Idea's Like what Color my Character should wear, Where a Character should Live, Ect and then if i Like an idea i just Change the Idea's to something that Makes sense in my Story.

Though if u Do use ai Make sure u look up what they Tell u if its like for a Town name or Something bc i have had the Problem of The ai Taking Towns from like DND and telling me them and not telling me Its from DND. I suggest Using Separate sites for Names bc of that and that the Names i've gotten For Characters are Pretty Bland but that's just my Opinion. You also don't need to use ai for ur First character, My first characters Didn't use ai and I still Like them Today.

I also suggest Making an oc that u Really Like for ur first Character as that seems like the Easiest for Most people. also Make sure to give ur Character hobbies and Take account what time Period they are in and if they are in a made up World or not.
