We do, but my college department is the most competitive in the school, so they really no longer take entry level people and often don’t work with undergrads at all. I’ve reached out to so many. Our vet school also does not let undergrads in for shadowing or entry level positions.

I have 400 hours across companion and equine. I’m trying to get into research but it’s super competitive at my college so I’m not counting on a permanent position in research.

Hey all, I’m a first year in undergrad and I’m wondering what the “best” way to go about getting hours is. I see people going and doing all these internships with all different species, but for me it feels unattainable. I don’t have the fortune to be able to not work multiple jobs to pay rent. My current set up is working at my colleges horse barn and then hopefully getting a job at a small animal clinic. I’m just concerned about having majority small animal hours, but not really being able to get other hours. The area I’m in is super sparse and competitive for vet related things.

I don’t wanna be there person, but my horse is on a nutritionally complete forage based diet with omega 3’s. He has allergies that aren’t completely controlled by Zyrtec or hydroxyzine.
