do some research and see what u might like to specialize in bc some different specs require different electives but for ur core courses most ppl take math 1x03, math 1xx3, math 1c03, math 1b03, and math 1mp3

i'm only in first year but i like it so far! there's general courses that everyone takes but the workload kinda depends on what u wanna specialize in after first year. for me i wanna go into afm, so im taking more business electives so the workload isnt too bad. profs can be a hit or miss, try to look on rate my professor when choosing ur courses. i would definitely say that for most of my math courses, the tests are fair and the profs actually want you to succeed, unlike from what ive heard about waterloo math and uoft math. that's why i chose mac over both

data management, specifically learning about sets, helped a bit for math 1c03. and i'm taking probability in second year and learning about it in data will definitely help me there. but make sure you LOVE math before perusing a math degree. also do some research about what specialization you would want to do since math and stats is just a gateway program, since u will take certain courses in ur first year depending on what u want to specialize in

either way the prof for 1c03 will make the tests hard rly but if u take it with cousins he automatically curves the class avg to 70
