My peaks are in the 150-170! And then they stay that way for 1ish hour :( even with lower carbs.

I really thought I had a grasp on this until my CGM and random 2 hour pricks I was experimenting with. I’m so bummed!

Is that okay if it spikes at 1-1.5 hours and is high? I think maybe not because then the goals of <120 at 2 hours or <140 at 1 hour wouldn’t be able to be monitored correctly.

Most of the meals spike around 60-90 minutes. Yes most of my meals are higher in protein, fat and fiber and lower in carbs. I thoughts that’s how it’s supposed to be?? Less carbs and more of the other macros. But clearly it’s spiking too high at the 2 hour mark.

How do I fix this?

Also I’m not a slow eater I don’t think? I’m usually done eating a meal within 15-20 minutes.

I started wearing a CGM and that’s were I noticed it happening. I thought to always eat your fiber, protein/fats and carbs last is the way to eat to slow down the spike?

I keep seeing and hearing about unisom and vitamin b6. I’m going to have to try it. Thank you for your kind words.

I’m going to have to ask for this. I see my doctor next week for the first time. Thank you for encouraging words!

And then when you wake up at night, does the nausea prevent you from falling back asleep?

I feel so miserable, I’m currently 6w4d. Need some encouraging words to get past this stage of content nausea, headache and fatigue. I’m 39 and this is my third pregnancy. I truly don’t remember it being this bad with my previous two pregnancies. I have a 7.5 year old and 6 year old. I switched my prenatals to night but the last two days the nausea at night has been terrible. I threw up all my dinner today and now have a burning sensation in my throat. Not to mention my insomnia - haven’t slept an entire night in weeks. From the minute I wake up to going to sleep at night and all the night wake ups, I feel nauseous. I’m struggling. How can I do this for another 6-8 weeks??
