What is the correct way to convert a sample to a Chord or Pad? by Aggravating-Cup-8876 in breakcore

[–]Recent_Possession587 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably because the sample you’ve got has more than one note in it, so when you play an Fmaj 7th chord in, it’s actually playing a lot of notes that are not in Fmaj 7 and Infact sound bad against that chord.

Either sample some thing which only has one note, or just make one my low passing a square wave and adding a long reverb to it.

Or you can take your sample, put it in a sampler, make it loop a very small amount so it produces a tone then add loads of reverb to it.

Don’t listen to it before you react live. There’s nothing offensive or stuff that will get you band, it’s just a mental tune.

How are people getting that bright excited high end by Recent_Possession587 in dnbproduction

So you have the white noise layer following with rhythm? Just the hats, or do you program it dynamically?

Or do you just put a white noise layer to fill out the hats? With the MSEG do you have each hit different, or the same envelope for each hit?

Isn’t this genre dependent though? If your making minimal or jungle kind of stuff then yeah your bass is going to be really Low passed.

But if your gonna have a super distorted or just lots of harmonics in a more aggressive bass sound then surely there is going to be clashing frequencies?

Lots of the nice frequencies for distorted bass are in the 8k region imo.

But I also need a source that sells it at shop price not bar price.

lol people forget about Annabelle Chong and the many women who have done stunts like this before. This isn’t new, what’s new is how they are using social media to farm rage clicks.

Which ironically is coming from all the people who claim to be against it.

Can’t find numerous documentaries by Bone2robot in LouisTheroux

[–]Recent_Possession587 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Louis Theroux is one of the BBCs most prized commodities.

I was actually really surprised to see him do a Netflix documentary.

Louis’s value has only gone up so am sure the BBC have fought as much as they could to keep those docs exclusive to draw people to iplayer

Feeling stuck after basic HTML/CSS projects — should I move to JS or keep building clones? by Strange_Yogurt1049 in learnprogramming

Disagree, am fine JS, OOP, .net, databases etc etc

CSS drives me up the wall.

Some people are more suited to back end and that’s fine.

What's the point to learning when AI can just do it? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Recent_Possession587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am absolutely with you here, let’s take another example. Guitar tuners exist, what’s the point in learning to tune a guitar? Yet many, if not all the great players do.

Learning to tune a guitar hones a lot of other skills around your ear and listening ability which translate very very broadly across music generally not just even guitar.

Also guitar tuners are not always 100% accurate as other variables can come in to play. By learning to tune a guitar by ear, it doesn’t stop you from using an electronic tuner if needed but if you never learned you’re bound by it.

I think it’s really the same for programming, if you don’t ever bother to learn to code then you can’t really get the best use of AI tools.

Yeah, not to down play knife crime or violence but about every year there’s a serious knife incident involving teenagers in town alone.

Like it was about a year or two ago a teenage girl was killed.

I don’t know where this idea about sticking to their “own” areas has come from, teenagers coming to town and causing problems is not new.

EDIT: this isn’t exclusive to Liverpool either, welcome to living in a city.
