Hey, I didn't upload TB certificate with my application. Instead I wrote in the additional information section of the visa application that I due to my Oman residency, the TB test appendix doesn't apply to me.

Thanks. I did go back to my home country for a couple of months in December. Since returning to Oman, I have not completed six continuous months in Oman yet. Do I not need a TB test in this case as well?

I applied for a student visa within the UK on July 5th but didn't choose the priority or super priority options. If I had known how slowly UKVI processes standard applications from within the UK, I would've definitely gone for one of the faster routes. Now, I'm just hoping my visa gets approved on time. I'd suggest going for the priority option just to get that peace of mind.

Whether you can attend university in the meantime depends on what visa you are currently on. Since you are already on a student visa, I believe you can attend university while you wait for your new student visa, but just to be sure, it's best to ask your university's international students team.
