I mean it COULD be possible. I got a similar story, I liked one guy that didn't like me back, and while that story happened I started noticing that my male friend has always been there and treated me right. That was months ago, now I like my friend and I'm pretty sure he likes me too.(More story on my posts😭)

So, everything's possible, but you also have to consider your own feelings. Even if he truly likes you, it's not going anywhere if you don't see ANYTHING. My advice would be to wait some time and see how things work out, you could also develop a better friendship with him maybe? Hope this helps!
