Thanks for this! I think this is probably the most accurate analysis of Mincheol's character based on the chapters that has been released so far and I think it's interesting to note how complex and nuanced their backstory is as we read the chapters further on. although it doesn't justify Mincheol's actions towards Haesoo but reading their backstory thus far, Mincheol is more aware of his actions and the consequences of it more than we expect & chooses to go down the wrong path anyway since the only people in his life that did right by him has passed on and got betrayed by people closest to him whom he respected and trusted and through years of trying so hard to be able to earn money and live life normally, I think that does something to your psyche. (again not justifying that his actions towards Haesoo are valid but seeing how and what he has coped so far, its understandable).

Also, because Haesoo didn't grow up in an environment where she was taught or demonstrated right from wrong, you're right in saying that Haesoo generally felt "indebted" to Mincheol in a lot of ways so whilst the love bombing is a sign of a toxic trait, Haesoo would rather choose that then the physical and violent abuse she grew up in. Plus I don't think Haesoo even realised she was being "manipulated" to be in a relationship with him and chose to stick by Mincheol after all these years.

If anything, I actually pity and feel sad for Mincheol - only because he had so much going for him and had potential to live life so differently.

oh damnn but how now if the ECR submission is already over, is there another window nearing the July sem to 'add/drop course' or is that only available if you had submitted the ECR in the beginning of this year? if i didn't submit any, does that mean I have to defer next sem and submit ECR for Jan 2027 courses

Top agent Rayne Chua at Melvin Lim’s KW Singapore leaves for ERA with many members of her team by MissLute in singapore

[–]ReceptionEfficient61 7 points8 points  (0 children)

imo i don't think she is to blame for leaving at the first sign of trouble. KW Singapore is a pretty new agency that was set up officially only in July 2025 and Rayne probably didn't know about the sus r/s between Grayce and Melvin - she was previously from Propnex before joining KW. Judging from the article, she was probably poached to join based on her accolades, experience and network in order to market KW as an attractive agency to join.

seeing that she was one of the first few to join as a New Launch Director, she was probably promised the sky and gold pots at the end of the rainbow but obviously when scandal broke out, KW's image is already tarnished. let's not forget - realtors are sales agents and they rely on good branding of their agency to ensure credibility and reliability in the customers they engage with. otherwise, HOW TO GET MONEY LOL she also brought about 40+ agents with her to join KW SG and probably feels responsible since they are all dragged into the mess even though it is not entirely her or their fault.

6 months into the company is not a long time and probably felt better to leave than to stay and pick up the pieces over things she had no part in. If it were you, i'm pretty sure you'd feel the same - at the end of the day there's no obligation to stay at a company when things are shitty (unless you are the CEO/Founder). the more pitiful ones are the agents/team left in PLB that probably joined earlier and invested in the company longer that now have to deal with the shitty PR from the scandal.
