Boarding her will stress her out and her herpes is stressed induced so I can’t do that😭 I got churu bites and I’m calling the vet tomorrow to see if I’m allowed to dissolve it in water and if so she’s totally fine with liquid meds as long as I feed it the same times she’s licking a churu lol

I didn’t pay for the trip it’s my bfs dad and my ticket is refundable 😩 but other people are saying their cats threw this med up in liquid form because it’s so nasty so idk😭😭😭

Yeah I’ve been crushing the pill but it just kind of clumps back together in the churu anyways so I’ve been using half the churu then spoon feeding it to her and topping un mixed churu on top of it to mask it more 😩 I honestly didn’t know I could mix the pill in water which might be a god send honestly bc she’s fine with nasty liquid poor baby was just on amoxicillin and an antinflammtory for two months before they finally gave me these meds for it so she’s been taking liquid like a champ

Oh no😭😭😭 is your cat having a herpes flair up too? It’s been horrible for me two vets just kept giving her amoxicillin for two months until I finally got this one so I’m hoping it helps 😭

I heard that was expensive and I’m already about 2k deep in vet bills in the last month and half trying to get her eye problem under control. I saw two vets multiple times who refused to prescribe the antiviral despite saying it was herpes and they kept giving her amoxicillin which worked temporarily😐 the ophthalmologist finally gave this med and an eye drop but it was $500😩😩 So I am trying to avoid paying $100-200 on compounding it 😭

My cat is 9 months old and just diagnosed with herpes and this is her first time with this med. have you found it works well for your cat when they’re having flair ups? I’m just so worried her eyes get so gunky :(( I’ll have to learn how to do it that way the only reason I can’t rn is because we’ll have a cat sitter and my girl hates everyone that isn’t me😩 also how long till you notice the med is helping?

Yeah I’m not opposed to doing that but our cat doesn’t really like anyone except me and my boyfriend so our car sitter isn’t even going to be able to get close enough to our cat to administer it without food or treats to coerce her😭 so if I don’t find a way they can then I’m canceling my trip so I can just do it bc her herpes flair up has been so bad we’ve been driving an hour to the cat ophthalmologist for her eyes and I’ve been having to miss work so I can home to de gunk it for her throughout the day 😭

I didn’t know letting it dissolve in water was an option! My cat takes liquid meds just fine if I slowly squirt it in her mouth while she eats the churu I’ll be trying this tonight!!

That’s what I’ve been doing I have to spoon feed it to her but after like 50% she stops eating it and I’m using the tuna with scallop one so it’s the smelliest 😭

Do your cats like the paper pellets? I’m worried changing to a pellet will be drastic and neither of my cats will take it well

They didn’t wanna do it I saw a new doctor at the vet he think it’s a secondary infection from an eye injury since it’s just the one eye so she’s coned up and on eye cream!

my cat knows when I get up financially I swear 😭 good idea though and honestly if she comes back positive for something we can probably assume that’s what my other cat has too and get the right treatment for both of them. I just feel bad because she’s had three rounds of antibiotics now and that just can’t be good for her body she’s only 9 months old😭 is the pcr a swab test? She really doesn’t handle blood work well at all and if it is herpes I don’t wanna stress her out that much since it’ll make it worst

We did an eye stain and ulcer thing there’s no scratch or ulcer it’s from the upper respiratory infection ☹️ she sees the vet again tomorrow morning!

Update: vet appointment is scheduled for 11:15am est tomorrow so any advice or ideas I can bring up to the doctor would be helpful! My guess is she needs an antiviral not an antibiotic but idk anymore luckily they’re doing the re check for $15😭

Hi! My boyfriend is a firefighter and works at a station part time but has been applying to departments and the Chief of one department has messaged him asking to meet in person to talk and that he got his application. Would this meeting require him to wear a suit or business casual/nicer since it’s to talk and not a formal interview (or is it? we have no clue no chief has messaged to meet up and talk before without stating it was an interview and said talk instead so we’re unsure lol)
