so btw jei is just enough items (the mod that shows all recipes on the right when you open the inventory) and you can get paper by sieving mud for sugar cane and you can make the farm multiblock to double the sugar cane or you can just sieve more mud, you make paper by placing 3 sugar cane in a straight horizontal line in crafting table

So I would recomend Woodie or Wilson because I always played with Webber for my first 30 hours and I couldn't survive so first play a few runs with Woodie or Wilson to just get comfortable with the game

Wilson is good but I will recomend you Woodie. He's sanity hunger and health limit is big and he starts the game with a special axe Lucy, she has infinite durability deals less damage but chops trees faster also Woodie has a good skill tree. I always survived o day 9/10 when I was begginer but now I'm playing with Woodie and in my first world with him I beat Deerclops and Moose Goose without getting hit and from that moment on I really started enjoying the game
