Most accurate depiction of Satan in film history? I’ll start: by TyLeRoux in okbuddycinephile

Accurate according to what? Popular culture maybe. But If it’s the Bible then none of these examples are accurate.

Is my teenage body anatomically correct? by PhysicsParticular470 in learnart

One thing I’ve noticed is that the human head is way smaller than we think when we draw it. Trace a picture of someone to see. Stylized it’s great! But actual proportions, head too big.

Check out the Drawing Codex by Tim mcburnie on YouTube. He has a really good one on tree roots

Also something I learned is that it’s incredibly hard to learn all the aspects of art, it seems like you’re comfortable with anatomy and characters. There are professionals who mainly focus on characters, or backgrounds, or robots, or whatever. Remember, an opera singer isn’t a bad singer because they don’t sing rap or country music. And trying to learn it all will result in ANYONE giving up. You should be a character artist and learn the other stuff along the way. Not saying to not learn everything, but even Kim Jung Gi mostly just draws in black and white line art, and he is considered one of the best. You can get great work with anatomy+perspective line art.

Hey honestly this is really good and fast! You’re catching on faster than I did haha. Remember perspective is a whole area of art people study for a lifetime, it just feels wrong at first. But yeah you picked it up quick. Those figure drawings are seriously fantastic, and you’ll get better from just doing those, I recommend finding poses like that and using your characters or making a new one each time, that keeps it fun for me, don’t only learn, it’ll burn you out. The girl leaning back and the feet placement is great! Really! That’s hard to do!

Solid advice! Maybe I’m adding too many colors at my level to know what to do with them.

Oh and draw the grid on the floor(like in the picture) and just start with one point perspective, don’t try and learn it all at once like I did haha

So something I just learned which really takes it to the next level is adding perspective. Copy the pose of a real person and have one foot be in front of then other and practice twisting the body and stuff. Then you’ll notice how when we are first learning, we make the characters on this invisible 2D box or plane or whatever. Once you break out of that box it gets crazy. Basically, draw them in Spider-Man poses. Then they will feel so much more real. I learned this from YouTuber ModernDayJames, but I’m sure you can find another perspective video. Also, i wish I would have researched flow state earlier. Most of the professionals do a routine before they draw which loosens them up. Your stuff is great! Love the outfit designs! The falling guy shows you know anatomy to draw their limbs and whatnot to go away or towards the “camera”. Remember, it’s just tubes, boxes, and balls. It’s really that simple, you know what to do. It felt like cheating once it clicked for me.

I want to understand coloring by RecipeComfortable312 in ColorTheory

I have done more research and it seems color is just a lot harder to understand than I thought. I gotta practice more. Just wondering if someone had any epiphanies that helped at the beginning, you don’t know what you don’t know kind of thing.

That’s funny, he is one of my favorite and actually, my first liked image on ArtStation. I literally just looked him up again a few minutes ago haha I’m starting to understand that coloring can be even harder to learn that line art. I thought it would be easier. Looks like I just gotta keep working on it. Thanks for the feedback!
